There's been a bit of a negative streak on here lately, too much actually, so let's try and think of something more positive. Of the 18 movies they've done so far what are the best action scenes?
You can order them however you like.
And don't let this go the usual approach where certain users will come in and talk shit about peoples choices and call them stupid or them not making any sense, just let people pick what they want to pick.
1. Hulk vs. Abomination - Generally the MCU movies don't have very good final battle scenes between the hero and the villain, however this one was probably one of the best ones, action packed, a decent length and destructive. It definitely made up for the crappy one in the 2003 movie.
2. The Battle for New York - Probably the best action scene in the whole MCU. One of the better and more memorable ones across Summer blockbusters even.
3. Captain America vs. Winter Soldier - Specifically the fight on the street, not as long as most of these others but you don't often get to see a martial arts style fight in these movies and the choreography was very good.
4. The Battle for Sokavia - Also pretty damn good but not quite as good as the New York one.
5. The Airport fight - This one got me giddy almost seeing all the different characters on screen fighting with each other like Captain America and Spider-man or Iron Man and Ant-man. This was as good as I was hoping for.
6. Captain America and Winter Soldier vs. Iron Man - I'd say this was probably the best action scene in the series that focused on a small amount of individuals rather than a full out battle. I was wondering how they were gonna nerf Iron Man to make it work but they did in a believable way, mostly.
7. Thor vs. Hela - This is the entire final action scene from when Thor powered up and then started fighting the zombies and Hela and all the stuff that went on there. Mainly for the music that accompanied it.

Oh yeah I'd forgot about the Netflix shows. Those hallway scenes are definitely some of the best too.

I like the ones mentioned in the OP but I would also like to mention the final fight against Ego in GOTG Vol.2 as I'd say it was lenghty, creative and highly entertaining.

The airport scene all the way. The camera work is excellent. No shaky cam. No overly rapid editing. It all seems remarkably organized considering all the players involved. The one on one match ups are all great and uniquely done. There's no horribly noticeable CGI involved. 👍🏻 It's at a real location. 👍🏻👍🏻There's basically no green screen. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
It's just a joy to watch.
The only problem is that the stakes are a bit low. No one is ever in real danger.

The only problem is that the stakes are a bit low. No one is ever in real danger. T'Challa does really want to kill Bucky. And Rhodey got crippled so...

Marvel movies fight scenes need to be more artistic and unique. winter solider and civil war were almost there but not quite.
I think the one fight scene I will say I enjoyed for what is was , was the battle of newyork in avengers 2012.
iron man 3 has good fight scenes too

I'm not a fan of how MCU movies frame their fight scenes. Usually too many cuts, too close up, too much shaky cam.
That said, their fight choreography os second to none. No other studio has been as creative as they were in showcasing different powersets so that their superhero fight scenes don't just degenerate into punchup brawls.

I don't think people full appreciate just how difficult it was to pull off the airport fight scene. That is hands down the best fight scene in any superhero movie. So what if they weren't trying to kill each other? Two people who get into a bar fight aren't necessarily trying to kill each other either.

The Battle of New York is one of the greatest action scenes ever created.

Most MCU scenes are pretty bland.
I think the aerial rescue in Iron Man 3 was pretty good (as an idea). The best executed action scene would be the attack on Nick Fury in Winter Soldier.
But that could have been any action movie.

But that could have been any action movie. None of them are as good as something like the Logan fight in X-men 2. exactly. mcu fight scenes are bland because their director's follow one formula. even black panther, the fight scenes have been criticised heavily. which is strange because Ryan did an amazing job in Creed. these mcu fans think we are just dc and xmen fans talking. maybe we are but we are also film fans that love to see good craft in film
Black Panther fight scenes have been heavily criticized by whom?

Civil War - the airport scene is great but the appearance of Giant Man gave me one of the biggest geek-gasms ever. Biggest surprise in a blockbuster in years
Thor Ragnarok final battle - some of the visuals are so impressive but Led Zep on the soundtrack pumps it all up to 11
The Avengers - Battle Of New York, the first superhero team fight on the big screen, and managed to focus on each member, especially in the "single" shot
Guardians Of The Galaxy - the prison break
Winter Soldier - the street battle, the attack on Fury, the elevator fight
The Avengers - Black Widow's introduction
TV:
The Defenders - first time they team up
Daredevil - corridor and stairwell scenes. Punisher prison fight

The MCU have better fight scenes in general than majority of DC or Fox movies. The only superhero movies whose fight scenes can compete are the Sony Spiderman movies. see what xmen movies focused on story and use little fight scenes but their fight scenes are more effective and visually unique to the director's vision. Other than perhaps in showcasing Night Crawlers powers I'm not seeing anything "Visually unique" here. If you want to give an example of some exceptional X-Men action sequences I'd say both of Quicksilver's scenes. But they have humour so maybe that's why you didn't pick them

Marvel movies fight scenes need to be more artistic and unique. winter solider and civil war were almost there but those fight scenes are way too choreographed that things look obviously fake.the rest are too generic, I think the one fight scene I will say I enjoyed for what is was , was the battle of newyork in avengers 2012. iron man 3 has good fight scenes too but as Nolansaid, fight scenes only work if the story is there to support it. iron man 3 did not have the story. marvel has a problem here. film artistry is their enemy. The MCU have better fight scenes in general than majority of DC or Fox movies. The only superhero movies whose fight scenes can compete are the Sony Spiderman movies. I'd say Kick Ass and Watchmen has some up there with the best.
