You probably wonder why I care. It's just an excuse to get lost in someone else's eyes…

Would be something if arya and cersei strike up a deal something unexpected I see no basis for a deal. There is nothing Arya could want from Cersei. There was, however, a hint at a possible evolution when Arya chose herself a name talking to Lady Crane, the actress who played Cersei in Braavos. A point was made of showing her empathise with Cersei while watching the play then she decided to call herself "Mercy". She might have grown less sure of her list.

That is true maybe lady crane was a way of GRMM giving us a clue about cersei and arya relationship , lady crane did try to save arya ...inetersting ..

I can't think of something Cersei would want/need from Arya. Arya was headed for King's Landing and Cersei when she found out about the recent events in Winterfell... I don't think Arya is going to show anyone mercy - at least not those she finds to have wronged her.

I don't think Arya is going to show anyone mercy - at least not those she finds to have wronged her. That's right, no one really needs anything from Arya unless they want an assassin. Arya's own journey, on the other hand, is a searching one. The show already spent much time showing her struggling with her feelings towards the Hound. In S4, she hesitated when reciting her list. He was at the end of it and she was searching for a reason not to keep him there, then in S6 she told the Waif she was no longer sure about him. The show then spent whole scenes making her watch Cersei played by an actress and when she decided to head towards King's Landing in S7, it had her meet a bunch of Lannister soldiers who made her think about it all again. Arya will not finish her list, this is as plain as everything else the show told viewers would happen, just so they could be surprised or dismayed that it doesn't. I have compared GRRM with Wagner before and here is another gimmick they share (bad authors rely on gimmicks, it always shows up in their work): he focusses on underdogs, outcasts or bad guys and redeems them. That was the whole point of keeping Theon alive all this time. Jaime pushed a kid to his death so he could turn around and earn sympathy from those who hated him. Tyrion killed his father so he could try to make up for it in the endgame. Arya was made to evolve into a heartless killer so she could come out of it again.
