I don't know if I would. They burned us once before so who knows if they'll do it again in some other way.

The lack of the individual boards in the IMDB app is a big loss. If they came back i'd use them.

It is extremely unlikely they would consider reinstating the boards, as not only do they appear to be devoted to their new policy, but the great momentum of visitors has died off, with no guarantee that most of the same people would return. I admit that I probably would give them another chance, mostly because of their collection of film lists, complete with their individual forums, ratings, and reviews. IMDB's action has demonstrated how unreliable they are now, however. They cannot reverse how disreputable they have become.

The above poster makes a good point. There is no assurance that the people who used the boards would return, and considering ImdB claimed only a small fraction were actually using the boards it makes it extremely unlikely they will return.

I'll be honest, yeah, I would, does that mean I'd stop coming here? No, but if they did bring them back, it would be interesting to see who all was there, and how many of them would be new, and how many of them might be interested in coming over here, especially with the thought in mind that the boards could be disabled again.

Not a chance. They went about shutting down the boards in a way that gave us no chance to prepare for it or counter it.

I would read the individual movie etc boards but I don't think I would post. I like this place better.

No. We got to take a stand. Support other boards such as this one or companies like Amazon will own everything and we'll get dropped at their will as we already did. I don't even buy from Amazon anymore.

Probably not...I've already settled in here. It's a cozy place, and you all seem like a nice bunch.

No, especially because it would not be the same as before. Some knowledgeable users left IMDb for good, and found a new "home" on other websites.

I'm with weedinator. As much as I appreciate the effort put into getting this board up and running, I'm struggling to find enough to hold my interest As far as holding a grudge against IMDb, I don't. They provided a free service, so I have no right to become annoyed with them when they withdrew it. It would have been a different matter had I been paying for it. If IMDb were to bring back the boards, I'd be back in a heartbeat, and my guess is that many other contributors would be as well.
