The latest Arrow episode was very interesting. Oliver and his team are barely in it. The ep is entirely focused on the villain, Diaz. It's a really good episode.

Like I talked about in another thread, I felt like there were some fair parts to the episode, but overall I thought it made Diaz look insecure and rather pathetic.
Spoilers.....
It would have been better, I think, if it had been his origin story, instead of the next phase of his development; killing his childhood bully as his first step, rather than after he's done all these other things. Fighting to join some larger criminal enterprise at some point prior to season 6, rather than after he's already amassed enough power to control an entire city. I'm all for shady underworld organizations, but "The Quadrant" sound ludicrous. I mean, a group that spans the entire country and controls all criminal enterprise; and it's only a legend? How effective is an organization that people who might work within it don't actually believe it exists? For that matter, how can such an organization not have "room at the table" for new emerging enterprises? "Well, gentlemen, there's this who's controlling an entire fucking city, but... having any kind of sit down with him, let alone the possibility of him joining our organization means one of us needs to take a trip to Ikea... I just don't see it happening." Not only that, I just don't see an organization like this being able to reach that kind of size and scope without imploding long beforehand, just by virtue of all the different egos and personal agendas that would undermine it. We saw that sort of behavior in the episode that introduced them; let alone the level of dysfunction present in legitimate things, like bodies of government, at the risk of sounding cynical. What rivaled the absurdity of extreme prejudice Diaz met trying to get his foot in the door, was how quickly he was met with intrigue from some of the other members after making a pitch that could just as easily have been baseless. Anyone can say they can make you a billion dollars, but on the other hand he did just kill a bunch of your guys; and turf wars have been started for a lot less than what he's pulled, but he is by all accounts a two-bit operator making wild promises, so you better hear him out. I mean, not a single one of those guards training a gun on him opens fire after he shoots one of the crime lords, much less when he walks through the door in the first place? What the hell is the point of them then?

Interesting premise horrendous execution as per usual.

I agree that it was really absurd when the guards did not shoot him or Laurel any of the multiple times they had the opportunity.
But hey, I've learned to keep my bar pretty low for the Arrowverse.

I'll watch just about anything Kirk Avecedo does. The show can only benefit from showing more of him.

Agreed, though I think this show has been a waste of his talents. Still, he does the best with what he has.

Agreed, though I think this show has been a waste of his talents. Still, he does the best with what he has. I liked him as Charlie in 'Fringe' and Ramse' in '12 Monkeys' and I am surprised he is in 'Arrow' and not the upcoming season of '12 Monkeys' 'cause I thought they would have kept him in the show until the end but they killed him off. I think the actor is doing a good job with what he has been given but once again this version of Ricardo Diaz/ Richard Dragon is nothing like he was in the comic books and Richard Dragon didn't have to cheat to beat Batman and Green Arrow in the comic books I read 'cause he was a martial arts expert and wasn't easy for people to defeat.

This week and last week's episode of Arrow only had Felicity Smoak for 5 minutes or less. They are listening to us! They have heard our prayers. Kill the body and the head will die.

He was great on Oz too.

Didn't realize he was in the latest Insidious movie. That almost makes me want to see it. Almost.

And the latest episode didn't feature Felicity in a prominent role either even though she was in it more than the week before. I think it is a case of the writers not knowing what to do with her now since Oliver is doing things on his own and doesn't need her on the computer and it is like what I said before, Felicity is more irrelevant to the show now than ever and the only thing killing her off would mean is Oliver would have to find a new babysitter for William.

I have heard of them and have been meaning to watch them 'cause I like Horror movies but we have been too busy re-watching other Horror movies to watch many new ones at the moment. What is it like?

Don't do that. You're exciting me and giving me flase hope. You did that to me last night and then you fell asleep. I might have orgasm if she is killed off. That is how awesome her death would be.

Orgasm over someone's death. I would say that's new, but I've already seen the movie.

Heehee. I did not! You are the one that usually falls asleep before me. I am not saying it is going to happen but I think it is possible Felicity could be killed off before the show ends and we have more of a possibility of seeing it than we did before. We are yet to see Marianne or Joanna Pierce appear in 'Arrow' so if they were to kill off Felicity they would probably make one of those two Oliver's love interest.

Strange or awesome? Guess it depends on your point of view. I guess so. It is like how they say one person's rubbish can be another person's gold. Everybody is different and has different tastes and I think some people have difficulty understanding that and want everybody to like and dislike all the same things as them and that describes a lot of diehard fans of things like movies, TV shows, artists and bands and writers. One thing I will say with Horror movies the ones that have the really outlandish titles stand out and are memorable.

When Wal-Mart sold the movie in its stores they changed the title to Heavy Metal Apocalypse and created generic box art void of Satanism. Bunch of gutless pussies.
