I like the new characters so far, it all still needs some time to gel together but the changes are positive. Morgan was always a fascinating character so it will be fun to see him interact with the FTWD gang. Really great to see Maggie Grace back on TV again.

I just want it to take off this season, after WD. I need to see some good story, and action in the serious. I'm happy to see Garret Dillahunt on there playing a gunslinging zombie fighter. I liked his characters in Deadwood, and a few other shows. My only trouble with any of the zombie shows is they bring in new fun characters, and they keep killing them off. Everytime they get one on there you cheer for they kill them off, or don't really give them a chance to develop on there.
One thing I kinda don't like sometimes in movies/shows is the jumping back and forth between present and past.

The jumping back and forth between past and present has already begun as of the second episode. I hope they do explain how everyone got here from where they all were at the end of last season.

I would love to see more of what happened in the dams aftermath. Looks like they did a pretty big jump to the stadium, and then another big one to the SWAT tank.

The Swat truck is cool, but bad on gas/diesel. Was there any gas containers on the back like what Jeeps have? I noticed it wasn't really stocked with food/water either. I hope theres a good base for that truck.

The new characters are great so far but I hate how they've time jumped so far into the future. And now it looks like they may be doing this "NOW" and "BEFORE" nonsense all season long. They didn't even show us how they got from the dam to the stadium. All this just to accommodate Morgan joining the show. It's really such a shame. The first two eps were still enjoyable, and I look forward to more, but I feel they've done quite a bit of damage to the show in order to make the crossover happen.

The season premiere was great, but I thought the second episode was so so. Personally I enjoyed the show before this mini-reboot they are trying to do. But still looking forward to the rest of the season.

Yeah, FTWD began as a prequel to TWD, so they had to leap ahead to catch up with Morgan. I wouldn't mind if we get filled in on "the in-between" stuff, which we might yet.

Yikes, the latest episode killed off Nick! And while watching the episode, I was thinking maybe Madison had been killed by Mel and his people, which is what would explain their current state and Nick's need to kill Mel's brother.

I was ready to get full-on-board with this show. I'm done with TWD, and season 3 of Fear was awesome. However, the events of the last episode just ruined this show for me. I have lost all interest now.

Don't know how are still around from the first season of the show.

IKR? There is a terrible sense of no closure. Seeing a beloved character die one episode, then seeing flashback scenes of him for how long? The rest of the season? I just don't care for that time-convoluted type of story telling. It is rarely done well. Shades of LOST: They did it pretty well until the last season. Then they had dead characters returning in entirely new timelines and realities. It can be a real rabbit-hole.

The Naomi/Dorie-centric episode was very special and has renewed my hope for this series. It is slowly building towards greatness. I'm feeling more and more certain that Madison is dead , which is why we have so many new characters, a way of rebooting the whole show.

I really like Naomi/Dorie episode. Did anyone feel like if they killed the walker in the car in the river, this would have stopped the sound attracting the walkers?

Watched the mid season finale, it was good, but at the same time a little bit of a let down. Now have to wait till August for the show to continue the rest of the season. I don't know bout you guys but I am getting really tired of these mid season cliff hangers.

This mid-season crap is super annoying, let us see the show already!

My friend is pissed that so many of the original cast were wiped out under these new writers and doesn't care if he watches anymore or not.
I, however, think the writing this season has been more creative than any other season. The first few years it was just a clone of The Walking Dead but some episodes of this season rival some of the best from the original. Yeah, I'll miss Madison and Nick, but you learn to accept losses on these shows. Frank Dillane wanted out, and Kim Dickens won't be unemployed long.
Pairing Alicia with Charlie (who is basically responsible for killing Alicia's family), in their own stand-alone episode, forcing them to confront and come to terms with each other, makes for great drama. Without great drama, this show would just be Z Nation, which I like, but it ain't no Emmy bait, or even close.

There are many things I didn't like about the first 3 seasons, but even I could admit that it wasn't a pointless spin-off. It was its own thing. Not only have they time-jumped to catch up with the main show's timeline. Not only have they brought in a character from the main show. It has also adopted its storytelling style. There's really aren't many differences between the 2 shows. I really hope they don't keep using this new color palette. They're not doing it well. To be fair, washing out the colors without going full black & white is very tricky. The 2009 movie THE ROAD pulled it off. Pairing Alicia with Charlie (who is basically responsible for killing Alicia's family), in their own stand-alone episode, forcing them to confront and come to terms with each other, makes for great drama. In my opinion, that was one of the best episodes of any show this year as well as the best episode of this show ever (not that the bar is set very high).
