Detective Ackbar's Journal: It was a dark morning on the MCU boards. As dark as it gets. My list of suspects was growing. I was certain a dame was involved. Could it be a Daisy? I never knew crime could smell like a Daisy. My investigation so far has been fruitless...

Geez, Oi was just about to stoit t’is koinda t’read… Stealin’ my t’under, why, is ya, hey, @forceghostackbar ? ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png) If I’m not mistaken, the author of Whose Sock? based the story on a real-life unsolved mystery, the Great IMDb Caper. The sleuth is Sgt. Abrack, an up-and-coming officer of the IMDb v2.0 Police Department. His unit is led by Insp. Bascab and Insp. Ejovearagejustan and the department by Commissioner John Carter, usually called by his nickname, “Admin.” The suspects? Ol’ Felden Chauldid, a private detective who makes Bogart look like Mary’s lamb who becomes a billionaire playboy near the end of the investigation… … C.F. Dan, a huge MCU fan and quarterback for the Pats… … Sam H.M.D. Formré, thought by the public to be a billionaire-playboy, actually revealed to be a penniless swamp-dweller because he’d gambled his entire fortune on the success of his favorite movie, Batman v Superman… … Sia Byd, a nightclub singer and Sam Former’s mistress until she figured out that he was actually broke… and … Reid Prawtor, who had apparently killed himself months ago—but lights were on at his home, and reliable witnesses stated that they’ve seen him around. One, or maybe more, of these individuals is masquerading under the name of Clam Noranture, causing trouble and riling up discord in the normally placid [ cough, cough, splutter, splutter] small town of Barveldroam. Who is it? One of these foul fiends, or could it be—someone else? Match wits with Sgt. Abrack and see if you can guess whodunit!

Formersamhd is the best bet. Daisy is possible. Wellibers is an very outside chance. Too sane to be Weird Raptor. 1% chance each that it’s Arch or Lord Death Man.

Bill Weers, a caretaker thrown out for drinking on the job, rumored to be lurking around the area… … Thad Lordeman, a Norwegian poet who blames the small town of Barveldroam for his lack of income… …and Stan Arararchton, an itinerant newspaper salesman who was placed in an asylum several years back. Ze plot, as they say, zickens.

Detective Ackbar's Journal: Paid a little visit to Stan ArArArchton at the asylum. In his time, he was a formidable opponent, but now, he sits behind cold rusty bars, a rambling degenerate. I tried to pry some information from the old boy, but my efforts proved futile. Old Archie simply repeated himself over and over, obsessing, rather irrelevantly, with Thor The Dark World. "It's a good movie" he kept shouting at me. "I don't see what the problem is"

While you’re there, could you ask Old Archie if he knows who the singer in Sleuth is? It’d take a genius or a lunatic to figure that out. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I wonder if @forceghostackbar , also known as Sgt. Abrack, conducts his investigations like this…

Detective Ackbar's Journal: Made contact with Ol Felden Chaudid. Our correspondence, as usual, was though anonymous letter dead drops. The first was left in the old mailbox behind the burned down mill. Scribbled on the sheet of card stock were just four words:l
Innit or it innit?
This investigation was heating up

Detective Ackbar's Journal: Got a tip from my twin brother at the ANTI TROLL PATROL. It made cryptic reference to the haunted castle on 87th. The thought of entering that cursed place sent a chill down my spine (and through my tentacles). For in that castle lived a knight, a haunted knight...

Detective Ackbar's Journal: Made contact with Ol Felden Chaudid. Our correspondence, as usual, was though anonymous letter dead drops. The first was left in the old mailbox behind the burned down mill. Scrawled on the sheet of card stock were just four words: Innit or it innit? This investigation was heating up My God! a clue! Hmm… Is it an acrostic? Ioii? But what does that mean? Or a series of anagrams, something I’ve, er, never done in my life? Nitin? Itinn? I… Wait a moment. Chauldid. The name sounds Indian, as it (thank you, Google) is found in the Journal of the Asiatic Society of Bombay. And Nitin is an Indian name… But, then again, Itinn seems rather close to Iðunn, a Norse goddess of youth—and Norse deities would connect with the pastime here in Barveldroam… Or is it a code? Innit: i meaning a, n meaning s, and t meaning y? Thus innit means assay? Assay _ _ a_ assay? And we can well suppose that t is n. But what of or? And what can assay mean? Curiouser and curiouser…

Detective Ackbar's Journal: My meeting with the Knight yielded great, yet disturbing results. It seems there is some credibility to the recent sightings of Weir Draptor. Could I be chasing a ghost? Is there something supernatural at work here? Though I shudder to contemplate what lies ahead I know the task must be done. Weir Draptor's grave must be exhumed!
There is grisly work ahead.
