I am going to say
Leprechaun 3 (8/10) Leprechaun 2 (7/10) Leprechaun (6/10) Leprechaun 4: In Space (5/10) Leprechaun: Back 2 tha Hood (3/10) Leprechaun in the Hood (3/10) Leprechaun: Origins (2/10)
It will be interesting to see what the new 'Leprechaun Returns' movie is like. Have you heard about that one James? It is coming out this year and I am hoping it is a lot better than 'Leprechaun Origins.' Sadly Warwick Davis won't be returning 'cause he recently said he is having a break from playing the character until his son is older 'cause he doesn't want him to watch the movie and see as the Leprechaun in case it frightens him but he is open to returning in the future. Here is the trailer for the new movie.

Not exactly a series of masterpieces but they just enjoyable silly fun. Except for Origins, that just sucks.

Considering the ratings above I feel like this may be the mist overrated of these horror franchises. They're somewhat fun, but mostly pretty terrible movies. Even the first isn't really any good.

I’m not the biggest fan of them but I enjoy them to an extent. Hell, half of them I don’t even technically like. Do you have any idea how to rank them?

I admittedly haven't seen all of them, including the newest Warwick-less ones, but of those I've seen I couldn't even give the first more than a 5 or 6. But maybe I'll go through some of them again.

I’m not the biggest fan of them but I enjoy them to an extent. Hell, half of them I don’t even technically like. Do you have any idea how to rank them? I watched a couple of them over the weekend, which included rewatching parts I'd forgotten about and seeing some that I definitely hadn't seen before, and it mostly confirmed my feelings. They're not good, but Warwick Davis is the reason to watch these. He's at least a pro who can hold some of this nonsense together by sheer charm and professional ability, even when everything else around him is an amateurish shit show. That's partly why the supposed 'reboot' known as Leprechaun Origins is a complete waste of time. Davis' entertaining and charismatic villain is replaced by a generic monster makeup design that looks more at home in the caves of The Descent than it has anything to do with a leprechaun. Also, there's nothing else positive to be said of that movie. God it sucks. It's probably about as bad as Leprechaun in Space, which is about as bad as Leprechaun Back 2 the Hood, which is only marginally worse than Leprechaun in the Hood. 1- Leprechaun 5/10 2- Leprechaun 2 4/10 3- Leprechaun 3 4/10 4- Leprechaun in the Hood 3/10 5- Leprechaun 4: In Space 2/10 6- Leprechaun Back 2 tha Hood 2/10 7- Leprechaun Origins 2/10 Haven't seen Leprechaun Returns. It does look more in line with the first few in the series at least, and isn't continuing whatever that last movie was supposed to be, but it also looks pretty weak, cheap, dumb and the apparent single location from the trailer makes a bit nervous that'll be more similar to the worst of this series than it is to the earliest ones.

Well I thought Returns was a massive step up. I agree 100% with Origins. Without WD, what’s the point? At least though the actor in Returns tried.

I guess. The third is definitely my favorite.

I wasn't aware it was out yet and I just looked it up on Amazon and it doesn't look like it is coming out on DVD anytime soon so it will be a while before we see it here in Australia unless they have it on the Foxtel Box Office. What was it like? Did it continue on to any of the previous 'Leprechaun' movies and was the new actor's version of the Leprechaun similar to Warwick Davis' or very different?

He was pretty similar, had a high-pitched Irish voice like he did. And it only continues after the very first Leprechaun, as it promised.

He was pretty similar, had a high-pitched Irish voice like he did. And it only continues after the very first Leprechaun, as it promised. Oddly, I was pretty pleasantly surprised by this movie. I watched it without reading anything about it ahead of time, and it wasn't nearly as bad as I assumed it would have been. I didn't know it was a sequel to the first movie, and so I just assumed it was going to be a sequel from that piece of shit Leprechaun Origins from a couple of years ago. Instead it tries to restore some of the personality and fun of the Warwick Davis movie(s) without going full on ridiculous comedy, and the jokes land much better than most of the crappy humor from the other sequels. It also tries to carry on the story of the first movie without recognizing any of the muddled and indecipherable continuity issues of the sequels. Hmm.. that approach sounds familiar.... It's not great, by any means. It's hardly more than passable, but that still means it's just about the second best of the series after the first, considering how awful most of these have been. This young dwarf actor does a totally respectable job at filling Warwick Davis' big tiny shoes. He doesn't quite have the charisma and personality, he doesn't quite nail the accent, and the makeup doesn't quite allow him to be as expressive as he needs to be... BUT he actually makes the character sort of fun and slightly menacing. It's still not anything to write home about, but Leprechaun Returns is probably a better sequel than this series deserves. It's a perfectly average, adequate cheap-o horror movie.

Yeah, maybe I wasn't clear, but I didn't mean to suggest that they were misleading about what the movie would be. I just went into the viewing without knowing anything at all about it.

Thanks for letting me know about that James and thanks for posting that review too masterofallgoons. I wasn't sure if they would keep their word or not with it taking place after the first movie 'cause there have been other Horror movies that have had the Directors and Producers say similar things like that but by the time the movies came out they were nothing like they said they were going to be.

Only seen the first one and snippets of the one set in Las Vegas. It turned out to be better than I'd expected it to be. In fact, I'd class it as the best horror movie of 1993. Not that there was much competition for the title that year.
