Epic HBO 10-part miniseries based on the accounts of real US marines who fought in the Pacific theater of World War II (Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, etc). Executive producer Steven Spielberg. Some of the music by Hans Zimmer.
Starring roles for Jon Seda, Rami Malek, Jon Bernthal, James Badge Dale, and many others.
Who has seen it. How did you rate it?

I've seen it.
8/10. Not as good as Band of Brothers but it's still worth watching it.

7/10
I thought it was decent but they seemed to be rushing through the historical events. It should've been at least twice as long to do justice to the material, especially since they spent so much time away from the battlefields on the homefront. I still liked it better than Band Of Brothers which I stopped watching after the first two episodes.

It's in my collection, but it's been several years since I watched it. I enjoyed it although I agree it's not as good as BoB. It's the first time I saw Rami Malek ("Snafu") and he's my favorite character.
