Taking Malick's ways of cutting into consideration, he may cut a lot of Bale out of Song to Song.

Lets hope it is.
I like Christian Bale a lot he is a great actor and maybe he will be one of the few actors who will get 3 oscars one day.
Anyway it would be great seeing him on another blockbuster movie, not another super hero but another big commercial film
