Buccal fat in the face is the literal thing that gives humans a youthful and healthy look. And to think there are celebrities who actually pay for a downgrade that makes them look decades older than they actually are is beyond me. Unlike fat in the belly, buccal fat will never grow back once it's removed. This is how Sophie Turner looks in her mid 20s. More fodder for Night King's army So why do they do this to themselves? Is this a new fad?

I only found out about this phenomenon a few months ago on another forum who mentioned Anya Taylor Joy had it done. I always felt there was something off about her in recent years and was no longer attractive. I couldn't put my finger on it so just assumed it was makeup or something I guess. No idea why they do it. It definitely makes them look older yeah, but also kind of alien. I'm all for people doing whatever they want to their bodies as long as it makes them happy, but they should know it's not an attractive look at all imo. Also, is that Mila Kunis in the top left, and Emily Blunt in the middle bottom? Please don't tell me they've gotten it too.

As for Anya Taylor-Joy, her face was already lean and of very good "proportions" what is there to feel "insecure" about....just don't get why she had to go through that (irreversible) procedure that she could end up regretting at a later point in her life.

Women always want that gaunt cheekbone look. In the 70s on the Rockford Files, Jim had a girlfriend who had her wisdom teeth removed to achieve that look.

Removing wisdom teeth has got nothing to do with cosmetic looks. You wouldn't even know if someone had theirs removed unless they told you. My wisdom teeth are removed.

That's the point. He wasn't saying she got her wisdom teeth removed so you could TELL she got them removed, she got them removed so her cheeks would look thinner.

They don't though, that's what I'm saying. Removing wisdom teeth does not change anything visually on the outside of your face. Like I said I've had the procedure done myself for dental reasons.

So have I, but I also have fatter cheeks than most women in the 70s. Being pre-social media maybe it was an idea that never caught on to the masses.

It's the first I've heard of it being done by choice. I can't remember the exact reason my dentist gave (got it done as a kid), but if I recall correctly it was something like they would push up against or damage surrounding teeth if left unchecked. Or maybe he just wanted to make more money.
