www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4XBa6xaddQI enjoyed the movie. I love the fantasy world created, the visuals, and Michael Shannon’s acting. But Bishop Barron hits the nail on the head and sums up my problems with the movie.

I thought the movie moved their relationship too fast. Once she began planning the escape, I was like "oh we're here now?"

I thought the movie moved their relationship too fast. Once she began planning the escape, I was like "oh we're here now?" Yeah, it went from being platonic to sexual with pretty much no development. Really enjoyed the movie up to that point, and I really enjoyed it until the end, but there was a segment of the film that was a wee bit awkward to watch in the cinema.

But, as Barron says in his video, it ticked all the usual PC Hollywood boxes, so it was a foregone thing.
