Not the greatest superhero film ever, but I thought it was easily the best of the Iron Man trilogy and definitely the best film of the whole entire MCU period. It is pretty criminally underrated by a lot of people.

It was awful, especially the first 30 minutes--and Don Cheadle was a crappy pick for War Machine--Iron Man II is one of the worst sequels ever made

I change my opinion every time I see it. Some stuff isn't bad like the racetrack scene and Sam Rockwell is actually a decent comedic villain. But Mickey Rourke was criminally wasted; he gave a better performance in the first Expendables. Don Cheadle is not a comfortable fit for Rhodey here. For some reason he's really irritable but he improved in later appearances. It's like the closest thing that the MCU has done to stuff like BVS.

Gets too much hate, I liked it a lot. The weakest of the three Iron Man movies, but still good.

I enjoyed the film quite a bit.
The suitcase suit is my favorite of the Iron Man suits.

Still enjoyable. I don't have anything really negative to say about it (unlike Ironman 3).

It's actually my favorite Iron Man movie, mostly because it is so much fun. It's fantastic popcorn entertainment imo. It also has much better action scenes then Iron Man 1, Cheadle is better than Howard and we get the introduction of Black Widow. Another reason I like it because it is one of the few superhero movies at the time where the whole world knows the identity of the superhero.
I am not really a fan of Iron Man 1 so that is part of the reason I am able to like Iron Man 2 more than most people. Then again, I consider iron Man 3 the second worst movie in the MCU.

I actually love Mickey Rourke in the movie and is a large part of why I like it so much. I found him far more effective than Jeff Bridges in the original. Sure, the character is underused and not very interesting on paper but that isn't Mickey Rourke's fault. I don't think Iron Monger is a very interesting villain either.
I will never understand what makes Jeff Bridges's character and performance so much better. I think his villain is quite boring. Mickey Rourke looks like he is having a blast in Iron Man 2, while Jeff Bridges looks bored in Iron Man 1.

It doesn't deserve the hate it got, I've always liked it. It's WAY better than Iron Man 3, all the Thor movies, GOTG 1 and 2, and Infinity War. Yeah, I said it, come at me bro!

I like Iron Man and Iron Man 2 equally, they are pretty different movies, but I like both in their own way.
Agree with movieman, that I like Mickey Rourke performance way more than the Obadiah Stane character. Plus, Sam Rockwell is great there and I find the movie highly entertaining.
The weak link of the Iron Man Trilogy, is Iron Man 3, IMO.
