Ken Griffey Sr. and Ken Griffey Jr. were the first father-son duo to be on the same roster at the same time. Name the second duo and the team they played for.

Awesome Tim Raines and shitty Tim Raines played on the Orioles together back in 2000 or 2001. I don't even know if Raines Jr ever played again after that year.

Tony Gwynn(s) Fun stat - the most strikeouts Tony Gwynn ever had in a season was 40, back in 1988 across 521 ABs. 40 strikeouts. He had 30 or more strikeouts in 4 other seasons and had 15 seasons with 28 or fewer. In 1995, he had 15 strikeouts in 535 ABs. That's absurd. As of May 1, 4 players in baseball have at least 40 strikeouts on the young season.

Stanton had 40 k’s while there was still snow on the ground. He added 3 more in the time it took me to type this.

Nellie Fox had 10,361 plate appearances with 216 strikeouts. His high in any year was 18. In 12 years, he had at least 682 plate appearances every year. In 1958, he had 698 plate appearances, 623 at bats, and struck out 11 times. His 162 game average was 708 PA, 632 AB, 15 Ks. www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/foxne01.shtmlWillie Keeler had the best ratio of AB/ks, but he's an 1800s guy. Struck out twice in 570 ABs in 1899. www.baseball-reference.com/players/k/keelewi01.shtml

how did Tim Raines, Andre Dawson and Gary Carter never win a WS - what pitchers were on those teams?
did Pedro and The Big Unit come later - thinking they did....
none the less that sounds like a fun trifecta - kinda like the Killer Bs in Bonilla, Bonds, Van Slyke....

Their best pitcher of that era was probably Steve Rogers. Not a bad pitcher but not in the same class as as the bigger name guys. Pedro and Johnson came later.

They had Captain America but still couldn't pull it off:
