Just curious. I'm not. I didn't see Rogue One either. These spinoff films, while I'm sure there entertaining at best, feel unnecessary to me. But Disney has to continue milking their golden Star Wars cash cow.

Of course not. Even if I wasn't boycotting all the new movies, I still wouldn't. Just look at it. It looks bad. At least the other 3 new movies looked somewhat good in the trailers, especially The Last Jedi.
It's like they had no idea what they were doing or even knew the Han Solo character very well. I saw a teaser a while ago where he was like "I'm gonna be a pilot. The best in the galaxy.". Have the writers even seen the OT? Han Solo does not talk like that at all. The guy they chose to play him is terrible too. He went through like 3 different voices in the teaser. Not to mention he doesn't look much like Harrison Ford.
The concept of the movie makes no sense either. It's meant to be about a "young Han Solo". Are they forgetting that Han Solo in A New Hope WAS a young Han Solo? So they cast someone who looks nothing like him to play him a few years younger, and it's meant to fit in the chronology? Beyond ridiculous.
The only thing they got right was Donald Glover as Lando. He looked the part.

I honestly don’t have much interest in it. I’ll see it eventually but probably not in theatres. Especially since Deadpool 2 comes out around the same time so that will give me my theatre fix.

The fear I have is this guy makes Shia as potential Indiana Jones look credible.

The fear I have is this guy makes Shia as potential Indiana Jones look credible. You must be totally remembering the movie wrong, because Shia was Indiana Jones' son, not Indiana Jones. So it makes sense he doesn't look too much like him. Although the ending to Skull did hint he may become his successor.
Whereas this talentless hack looks nothing like Harrison yet is supposed to play Han a few years prior to A New Hope? Very dumb.

I'll see in theaters. I wasn't very interested in it at first, but the recent marketing videos have convinced me. I'm not nearly as hyped for it as I was for episode 8 or 7, but I'm looking forward to it.

Well, I regretted seeing Rogue One--so, no interest from me about seeing some dumb 'in their youth' movie--not a fan of Donald Glover either--pass

I do not plan to see "Solo". I did enjoy "The Force Awakens" and "Rogue One". But I hated "The Last Jedi" so much I have no interest in any future Star Wars movies.

Rogue One is unnecessary, but it's still a good film and maybe the one I enjoyed most from the saga. I will probably see Solo eventually, even though I maintain I'm not much of a Star Wars fan.
