Thanks Salzmank.
Amicus and especially Tigon lived in the shadow of Hammer to some extent however they carved out their own niche.
Not a big fan of Tigon especially given their more limited catalogue, though The Blood on Satan's Claw is one of my favorites.
Amicus has many famous horror (and some fantasy adventure films in the 70s). The story goes that Amicus producer Milton Subotsky had written a screenplay for Frankenstein which Hammer rejected. He was not known to be a great writer, however he put together several films from a tiny makeshift office.
City of the Dead (not strictly an Amicus film but the same producers using a different company name Vulcan). Dr. Terror's House of Horrors The Skull The House That Dripped Blood Scream and Scream Again (co-produced with AIP) Vault of Horror
Amicus was notable for getting a lot of name actors to appear in addition to their portmanteau films.
Tigon was more visceral, using nudity and gore, though it also invested more into set design than Hammer did, and in the Blood Beast Terror there is a stage play sequence which spoofs a Hammer Frankenstein film with Peter Cushing watching from a window.

Didn't see any of Amicus' horror pictures, only their lost world films starring Doug McClure.

Others include
The Psychopath The Deadly Bees The Terrornauts (sci-fi) Torture Garden (The Man Who Collected Poe starring Peter Cushing and Jack Palance is the best one) Tales From the Crypt Asylum From Beyond the Grave
after that they went into the Burroughs fantasy films until Subotsky did The Monster Club in 1980. He had wanted to do a sword and sorcery film based on Thongor, a Conan-ish character.
Tigon's is more spotty. I have seen
The Sorcerers Blood Beast Terror Haunted House of Horror The Blood on Satan's Claw (Cannon was the US distributor--their earliest release I think)

There's also The Creeping Flesh, 1973 which I see is a Tigon co-production.

I'm a big fan of the Amicus anthology movies and their horror movies in general. I'm not as familiar with Tigon but this thread has made mecurious about their product.
