…in the Marvel Universe? I mean, it would be kinda fun, right? Betting that Tony Stark would log on all the time. The Stark- DC-Fan interactions would be loads of fun. Cap would probably be confused how to operate the thing, though he’d understand the keyboard. Hulk would smash the thing, but Banner would probably have all this neat science mumbo-jumbo and go to the science and philosophy boards. A converted Archie would have probably worshipped Thor through the computer screen. You’re all more than welcome to continue these random musings… |

EDITOR’S NOTE: In 1937, ex-private eye Dixon Hill began work on a series based on his experiences in the business, narrated by fictional gumshoe Moe Poker. The first book, The Bitten Dust , was praised by multitudes of critics, including mystery-hater Edmund Wilson, who wrote that it revolutionized the detective story.
Hill’s next book also sold well, though Torquemada wrote, “Hill seems to have adopted an unusual style for So Long, My Deadly , having written the book from the perspective of the titular ‘deadly,’ a beautiful woman named Marguerite Rosée, imagining what private-detective Moe Parker [sic] would write about her. The whole thing is as original as it is dizzying.”
It was Hill’s next work, however, that sent critics and readers running. In The Iron Window (1938), Hill imagined how the world would be 80 years later, in the year 2018, with many of his predictions eerily close to the truth. In the book, Poker is suddenly a gross private detective in 2018, attending a case for a superhero-like character named Stark.
Unfortunately, after enormous critical backlash, The Iron Window did not sell even a single copy and was quickly pulled from the marketplace, with Hill displaced by newcomer Raymond Chandler. Hill was driven to drink but, oddly, disappeared in full view of thousands in the middle of Times Square on January 8, 1940. Reading Tristan's mockery of turd humor with Drax and Rocket would be pretty engaging. Drax wouldn't get the sarcasm and Rocket would rage at him eventually. Using tech he would would find Tristan's house and do the flaming bag of raccoon poop trick.

Klaue would be ranting about the moral failings of Wakanda and its people's racism before an eager audience; Weirdraptor getting autographs on copies of his fan art; coldenhaulfield pestering Stark or Quill to see if they're innit; The Ackbar clan would immediately assume authority based on their uncanny knack for sensing when it's a trap.
