Watched this evening. Wasn't too bad at all. Best line; Eric: [sarcastic / deadpan] Well, thank God we cut his legs off.

I hardly remember anything about it, but my rating for it was below average. But I've seen this title come up a number of times as a surprisingly good one, so maybe it deserves a rewatch.

The legs scene is worse than I remember it - as in gore level. The idea was kind of neat. Might give the book a try at some point.

Was that the movie about some annoying douchebags being eaten by evil kudzu? If so I beg to differ. It was a steaming pile of shit.

I liked it, was at least more original and there is some tension and suspense.

I read the novel before I learned there was a movie. I was surprised they bothered.

Saw it, liked it. Not a great movie, but it passed the time enjoyably.

I've seen it a few times. I thought it was pretty good. And I always liked that line too.

I remember the blonde looked absurdly good, and on second viewing years later I realized the brunette is Jena Malone, who was also in the Hunger Games and Sucker Punch.
There were definitely some scares and some fucked up moments, but I felt like they could have done more with the premise. I liked the natives’ method of quarantine and their ruthlessness. I also thought the leg scene with the blonde was worse than the other one with the German dude.
Overall it’s a solid pick if it’s on HBO or Netflix and you’re looking for a decent horror movie.
