This actor who plays the young Solo has not in the slightiest the charme of Harrison Ford's character. I think this is why Holo is so polpular witin the Star Wars universe.
Anyway: the last "off" movie "Rogue One" was - imho - the best SW movie since the three classics. They actually led the heros die, gave Vader an iconic showdown, and explained plausible how the rebellion got their hands on the blue prints of the Death Star in the first classic movie. The movie became then weak, when it was about Jedi(s): culture, religion, philosophy, this odd "we-need-diversity-and-somehow-a-connection-to-the-pseudo-philosophic-jedi-crap"-couple and the rebellion itself: the whole scene with the holy city of the Jedi and this resistance outpost near it. These were the weakest parts for me.
When the movie was on its own, this mission impossible with a likeable female lead, then it was in its momentum. No Jedi, just some smart, but also run down anti-heros on a mission against the empire itself. The military power with its installation and the sheer power though utter superiroty in number and marterial (That why we are so facinated by the ancient Rome or the Third Reich...and both were role model for the Empire istself), with flesh and blood representation by Tarkin. Also to show a bit how the Empire works: enforcing employees, the research and construction facilities etc. pp. I liked it.
And no fucking happy end. at least not for our anti-heros (or still heros?)
The rebels had a victory in obtaining the data, but with huge losses, transferred to us in an really epic and convincing space battle, this Darth Vader scene, and the really sad but honest ending for our heroine.

We got the trailer with Infinity War three hours ago. The audience seemed receptive.

I'm hopeful for this. After TLJ, I think the side story films have more potential than the main ones.
