He does and it looks ridiculous why he isn't reaching out and getting his other powered friends to help him fight Ricardo Diaz this season. Sure, The Flash has to deal with DeVoe and Supergirl is busy with Reign but what exactly are the Legends doing now their season is over? He should call the Legends team in to help him fight Ricardo Diaz or some others like Hawkman and Hawkgirl. I wasn't a fan of their version of the Hawks as you know they would be helpful for Oliver right now. Here's what I think. As you pointed the Flash is busy with DeVoe and Kara is in another dimension. As for the Legends, does Ollie have a device they can use to contact them? I can't recall, I think they were given one during their first crossover but I am not sure. And even if they did, I guess Oliver just doesn't want to disturb them. Diaz is dangerous yes, but he's peanuts compared to a metahuman like DeVoe or the time anomalies the LOT have to deal with. And if I were Ollie I probably wouldn't call them either unless it was really necessary. I took an oath to protect the city, so it's my responsibility. And what would team Flash and LOT think? Team Arrow can't even handle a drug lord? And yeah, probably Oliver's pride too. Yeah. You are right. Ricardo Diaz is nothing compared to DeVoe (who was finally made to look like a threat at the start of last week's episode) but they have the Longbow Hunters coming now which is a team that includes Killer Moth. I haven't read many of the comic books with the Longbow Hunters in them but I have read a lot with Killer Moth and he can fly, has superstrength, claws, shoot sticky acid stuff that turns people into bones and an exoskeleton that keeps him protected from harm and he is going to be a big threat for Team Arrow just on his own so I am not sure how Oliver is going to be able to fight somebody like that without any help and I think next season might be the one where he reaches out to others for help unless he gets more members on his team 'cause he is going to be more outnumbered now than he was before. Plus with Oliver behind bars I think Roy will return to be the new Green Arrow and then will stay on to help Oliver when he gets out of prison.

I think what makes it worse is that the why they team up or crossover is always either silly or contrived, like seriously we needed Felicity to crossover for a hen night? also why didn't Oliver attend Wally's stag do? but oh wait look come the wedding when they all have to come together for the first time in a year low and behold Nazi invasion from a parallel world, what a coinky dink. I preferred the S3/1 crossover which were minimal for the most part but made kinda sense, even with the timeline being a little hazy, and yeah the legends not showing up ever is soo stupid, like their shows the shortest but they can be anywhere at any time why the fuck don't anyone call these pricks? unless everyone else recognises how inferior to everyone else they all are in which case fair enough. Yeah. A lot of the random crossovers during the seasons have been very disappointing and they can turn up for silly events like the one you mentioned but not when they really need to one another. If I remember correctly the only time Oliver has really came to Barry's aid was when he was facing Reverse Flash in the final episode of Season One and Firestorm was there to help too and Barry turned up to help Oliver in the final episode of Season 3 when Team Arrow was held captive by Ra' but he didn't stay and help him fight when Barry was fast enough to take out all the League members before they knew what hit them. They have never had Supergirl turn up to help Oliver and Barry and I remember reading there was supposed to be a 'Supergirl/ Arrow' crossover episode but it never happened. I think the Legends team spend more time sitting around doing nothing than saving the world so it does look silly they don't call them up and Sara didn't look busy when she turned up to see her Father. Why Sara didn't come into it earlier was dumb 'cause they could have used her help with Ricardo Diaz. The other thing is why must the big crossover happen at the same time every year, surely this should tell these guys do not come together in November/December because everytime you do shit hits the fan, last seasons crossover should have been the season premiers with a Flashpoint "movie" to kick shit off but no we had to get that piss weak attempt at FP instead.
Also I think the Arrow/Supergirl thing was misrepresented that was how the crossovers aired, Supergirl & Arrow Monday then Flash & LOT Tuesday, which seemed like a daft thing to hype up and just another case of the CW lying through their teeth.
And with Sara showing up shows clearly Team Arrow not just Team Flash know hot to contact them, I really wish we could get more crossovers though, like after the Reign fight where Kara got he head bashed in I would have loved for her to turn up at the end of an Arrow episode and recruit Oliver to train her because Oliver is the best fighter on their side of things, then Oliver can help out that villain of the week and we could have fun seeing how everyone reacts to Oliver on that earth, especially if they kept up the James is territorial thing and him being a little cocky because Oliver isn't a meta and James is larger so he thinks he's hot shit because he's "Guardian" then Oliver could have used James as a living dummy to demonstrate an attack to Kara, then again I just want to see James get his arse kicked and have for a while, so I may be biased, but I think little things like that can help and should be implemented more imo.

I think the big crossover happening every year at the same time might have something to do with the CW Network's programming schedule and if they keep the same schedule they had last year with four episodes of 'Arrow', 'The Flash', 'Supergirl' and 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' over two nights the CW Network will probably have to be notified about it to first if they decide to change it to work it into their programming schedule. I'm not sure but I think it would be better to have it at different times every season too and they could have one year where the big crossover episodes are the first week back or the final week with all the superheroes coming together to fight one big villain. I think you might be right about the 'Arrow/ Supergirl' crossover episode too but the way a lot of news sites were talking it was going to a separate 'Arrow/ Supergirl' crossover episode with Oliver and Kara working together 'cause they were all talking about how the two of them would work together with them being so different than one another. I think there is a chance we could see an 'Arrow/ Supergirl' crossover episode one day though and the new 'Arrow' showrunner might push for one. Kara not being able to fight is something Oliver could train her how to do and I think he might have to do that for Barry next season since his speed powers won't work around the new villain meaning he will have to fight him and I am not sure how Barry will go with that.

Anyone? Simple question, can I watch Arrow all the way through by itself and forget the other shows? No you can't because you miss out on seeing Amy Jackson in Supergirl and Crystal Reed in Gotham. Their presence on those shows make them more entertaining than Arrow. Arrow dropped the ball on sexy actresses. Where are all the sexy girls on Arrow? Felicity is so Goddamn annoying it makes me wonder how anybody could find her sexy and I like the nerdy girls.

The crossovers would be better if the stakes were higher and there was some buildup to them leading in to the crossover but they are a one and done thing that is worked out in one week.

I would like to see something like that where they build up to the superheroes facing one really powerful villain or multiple powerful villains towards the end of the season or midway than just have a random crossover event like they have done the past three years and they could have them crossover and connect more frequently with one another with the superheroes talking to each other and coming up with plans. Sadly it doesn't sound like that will happen though 'cause the crossovers are described as nightmares as one star put it below.
