I just finished a shrimp/angel-hair pasta "scampi," with steamed broccoli.
Dinner, with friends, at a local trattoria, tomorrow. For Sunday - I "dunno," yet.

After an 'Indian Summer' we have a blast of cold windy wet weather closing in towards winter, so we are having a chicken drumstick crockpot slow cooked curry, with veges included and some fresh broccoli steamed to accompany. It is so cool to live in a country that is so big and diverse that you have things 'in season' and also can get fresh veges on the shoulder seasons. The broccoli was SO cheap and fresh. Avocadoes are also cheap at the moment here and though the summer fruits have just finished the grapes, pears and apples are divine. Oranges in a few weeks. Mandarins just appearing.

Breakfast:
2 Napa cabbage leaves topped with:
mashed 1/4 avocado, Vidalia onions, caraway seeds, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked wild salmon
with another cabbage leaf on top

steaming up some clams tonight. I have been hungry for burgers on the grill. The weather was good yesterday so this is what I had. It was great! One with just onion and my favorite mustard and one with cheese, tomato and lettuce. Oh and many of these!
