If you could pick your own Star Wars anthalogy movie, what would you pick? So far we have a movie about the start of the rebellion and the Death Star plans (Rogue One) and soon we'll have one about the origin of Han Solo.

If I could pick anything, I'd want to know more about Darth Plagueis and Palpatine. Darth Plagueis is easily my favorite character referenced in the Star Wars movies that we haven't seen yet. It's no surprise that the opera house scene in episode three is the best scene of the entire PT. I really want to know more about him and who he was. This could also be combined with Palpatine as he was Plagueis' apprentice. Palpatine is for me the best character in the PT (with Obi-Wan) so I'd be interested to see more about him. This could be a very different type of movie than all the previous Star Wars ones, focusing more on the sith tradition and the search to defy death instead of rebellion vs. empire battles. Palpatine even already gave the movie a title: The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise. A movie about the Old Republic would also be great, but I think that would work better as a trilogy than as an anthalogy movie.

I agree with your idea. More Palpatine is always a good thing and I would love to see more of his origin.

I would like a movie about the early Jedi, back when they were wearing power packs to power their "protosabers".

My top choices:
1. Old Republic. It's back when both the Jedi and the Sith were in their prime, hell the Sith side alone is worth a film! There's also the Mandalorian war as well!
Plus you got the republic before it was a power house, so you have the whole political side of that time period that could be explored as well!
2. Darth Vader. A film set after Revenge of the Sith, during the Jedi purge. This is where Vader legacy really took off! Hunting down the remaining Jedi and killing them! There's also potential for a flashback with Anakin and the Jedi's he's killing. Showing their Bond as friends before Anakin fell, which could get emotional.
3. Darth Plagueis. Palpatine would obviously play a part in it but the character definitely should be explored. I would just adapt the Plagueis novel honestly.
4. The first Jedi/origin of the first force user. This would take place millions of years before the Jedi and the Sith held power in the universe. Before lightsabers as well, so I was thinking about the use of viroblades as the main tool.
I think there's a lot of potential to explore the first force users.
5. Darth Bane. Arguably one of the most important figures in the Sith history, as well as the Star Wars Lore, He's the creator of the Rule of Two, which was first heard about in episode 1!
He's the one who saw how the Sith would never get an edge over the Jedi because of how treacherous and greedy the Sith are. So what does he do? Destroys the Sith order by actually convincing them to perform a ritual that kills themselves and than goes on to creates the rule of two. One master and one apprentice, no more! No less!
There's a great trilogy of books that are perfect to adat into film!

I imagine a kind of Hans Landa/assassin movie with lightsabers. I'll take it.
