April Wine
Cowboy Junkies
Yo la Tengo
Sonic Youth
I don't know about you but number 2 sucks the most, for me.

If you think Yo la Tengo and Sonic Youth suck, there is no hope for you...Stick to Weird Al songs..

Lol, even the name cowboy junkies, what even the hell is that? What a horrible name for a band. The music is just as equally bad. What a depressingly terrible name for a band to begin with.

However on second thought, I've listened to most of yo la tengo's catalogue and sonic youth because I have them all on cd, and they do have some good songs. They're not nearly as sucky as the cowboy junkies.

I think I heard 2 songs by Cowboy Junkies. Last decade.
Don't know April Wine, Sonic Youth was definitely disappointing when I heard some songs by them. Have heard YLT but can't recall what or if I liked em.

April Wine has a few good songs. They're a Canadian band not really known in the U.S. until their seventh album in 1979.

Yeah, AW is more Rock. I think of Looking Glass as Pop.

Well, they're both Canadian. So maybe (or maybe not) that the reason the doofus got it WRONG.

I have never heard of Yo la Tengo but I disagree with you about April Wine. I own all their albums and they have some great songs and were very underrated much like a lot of other great Canadian Rock bands in the 70s and 80s.

April Wine has a few good songs. They're a Canadian band not really known in the U.S. until their seventh album in 1979. Surprised they didn't have more singles chart success in the US. You Could Have Been A Lady made it to #32 in '72 then nothing until 1979's Roller reaching #34. In between they had a lot of other great, upbeat 'party rock' singles and also occasionally released softer singles (like the one in the Trailer Park Boys clip above) that I'd have expected to have done well in the US too.
