Unfortunately I just assume this is pretty much standard practice for most chicken and turkey producing establishments. But the false advertising is...I was going to say wrong, inappropriate or dishonest...but what I guess it is just...to be expected and that the state protects them is to be expected. Hopefully the activists won't actually get prison time, but the mere cost of defending one's self in court will be a huge "penalty" even if they aren't convicted.

This is how poultry live and die, in any country where antibiotics are given regulary. In my country, we are not allowed to give antibitics to farm animals in that way, therefore we can't keep as many animals per squaremeter and need to keep them happy. Then they rarely get sick.
The persons do deserve punishment, as they endanger the animals by going inside. Fight for better animal laws instead, and support farmers like me, that really care for the animals, mine are free range.

They don't endanger the animals. Being imprisoned 24 hours a day in unnatural conditions with no sunlight or space is the endangerment. The penalties the photographers face is just the insanity of the owners covering up their sin (it also shows why open rescue is a bad idea--they should have kept their identities secret--then again, a court case just draws more attention to the issue, so maybe its actually a good thing).
When I went vegan 30 years ago I had no idea how sadistic farmers were (though Jonathan Swift talked about how farmers in his day would burn out the eyes of birds to make them grow fatter). I just stopped because I knew it involved death and was unnecessary for good health. Saw an X Files episode where it said they fed chicken corpses and waste to chickens but I assumed it was sci-fi because surely humans couldnt be that insane. How naive I was.

They're not facing prison time for showing anything. They're facing prison time for theft.

There are a number of diseases they can bring in by their shoes etc like bird flu. And no, I don't feed my chickens chicken meat.

Not as bad as being in a confined space with no sunlight, close to other chickens, and then when they get sick, they give them antibiotics. So its like worrying about them catching a cold when they already have pneumonia

So no, it's not like worrying about them catching a cold... And yes, it is actually worse, as if they get sick, it can spread to the wild birds and so on when the next set of idiots break in.

You are just sidestepping the reality--sticking natural beings in an unnatural setting IS the primary sickness. That's why prison is called a punishment. *the never ending head shake.*

And by the way, when are you moving back to Africa? That is the natural habitat of man.

I am waiting for you to move first, and it is not fighting windmills--I am pointing out the madness of those who are (fighting windmills is pretty harmless though--animal agriculture is very destructive).

Why not start with reading my first post? And yes, you are fighting windmills. And you obviously don't know that growing veggies are far more destructive.

You said it was right for them to face prison for "endangering" the birds health-birds kept in totally unnatural confinement. What's the point of discussing it with you anyway? You are determined to attack the windmill, might as well leave you to it.
