So I'm just back from seeing it now and once again I enjoyed the movie. There's a couple sides to it when comparing it to the first movie.
Its a funny movie but it is definitely not as funny as the first one, I wouldn't say it was just me who thought that way either because there wasn't as much laughter nor as loud a laughter as I heard from the first one.
The movie is also not as crass. The first one had sex and nudity and this movie has neither.
I think there may have been a few more jokes this time around referencing other movies and characters like DC, Thanos and Hawkeye etc. Not sure if they're trying to be a bit more safe this time around?
On the other hand the action is probably better this time around, you can tell they spent a lot more money on this one. They didn't tone down the violence or anything so that's good and you can probably tell from the trailer that the action sequences are quite a bit bigger this time.
Other than that, the story was pretty good, the first half more so than the second half which was a bit predictable. Cable was done pretty well. There was a surprising cameo though it was a matter of seconds at that.
So it is a good movie, I think people will enjoy it but I'm sure the consensus will be that the first one was better. That movie has a 8.0 on IMDb. I can see this one having a 7.0-7.2 or something a year from now.
