It looks like Stephen Daldry is going to be the One who Directs "OBI-WAN: A STAR WARS STORY".
That being said, if they don't bring back Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi then I am Not Interested.

I wish they would drop the "A Star Wars Story."
Makes me think
"Care Bears: A Christmas Story" or some other lame title.
How about "Obi Wan: Legends of Star Wars"?

Yeah he was perfectly cast. Then again he's not that old so they can do it as a follow up story. The prequels seemed to cover everything important in his early days.

While the prequels had their flaws, I thought Ewan McGregor did a good job as Young Obi-Wan and they pretty much covered every important event in his younger years. I don't know what another spin-off would accomplish.

Why would recasting matter? They have already recast Han, Chewie, Lando, Tarkin, Vader, and yes, even Kenobi himself, once before.

Yeah, what are we going to get. The Tattooine years? Just sitting around. Meditating. Milking an alien for the milk. Talking to the dead Jedi. Practicing with his light saber. Then gets a sense Luke is nearby and starts walking towards him. Credits. And remember what Yoda said to Luke in ESB? That being a Jedi is not about adventures. Well, Luca$h again killed his earlier movies and dialog by making the PT about nothing but Jedi adventures. So fuck this shit. As far as I'm concerned these bullshit SW spinoffs are not canon and I'm only going with the OT and the latest ones.

"You are not the Jedi I am looking for." "You want to go home to your mommy and stop being a storm trooper." "I want to go home to my mommy and stop being a storm trooper." "Get out of here." Could be set after Revenge of the Sith, with him in the desert, but heading off on a specific mission (with a lovable crew of assorted SJWs).
