The RT % seems it will end up with a better aggregate than the first Deadpool and I would agree. This film was very enjoyable with twists and turns. The trailers dont really tell you anything of the structure of how the film goes - its not the team up recruit plot that the trailers make out.
What I appreciated much more than the first is that there is a healthy mix of drama, action, levity and 4th wall breaking. Neither facet is overdone to the point of oversaturation, the film maintains a healthy dose of each and it keeps the plot moving at a good pace. There is a lot more reference comedy, so people in tune with the CBM genre will defitinly be laughing at those. The action scenes are certainly a step up, the hand to hand combat is awesome in terms of sound effects and cinematography.
I also think Deadpool 2 is very good Xmen movie. One of the Xmens strongest theme from the comics has always been about family, and Deadpool 2 by the end really emphasises that point quite poetically - even moreso than some of the main line films.
I do have a few nitpicky negatives, most which are spoilery so il avoid. In general some of the CGI could have been done better, some of the original characters could have had more screen time and some of the fight sequences at the end could have been longer.
Overall an 8.5/10

What'd you think of Josh Brolin as Cable?

What'd you think of Josh Brolin as Cable? He was a little underwhelming, they make fun of his size which is a fun meta joke. I think overall he was fine, his first entrance is pretty intimidating but you never quite feel he is an unstoppable Terminator like character.

How would you rank it amongst the CBMS of 2018 so far?

How would you rank it amongst the CBMS of 2018 so far? Well i gave IW an 8.5 too so its at the top level with that. Black Panther was an 7.5/10, not too far behind.

I think I like it more than the first one too. Thumbs up to Fox...that's 3 in a row good movies.
Also...possibly the best post credits scene in movie history. Don't leave early. It's fist pumping awesome.

Agree with the drama and levity.
I found the action underwhelming compared to the first DP the story felt very lite too and bit all over the place. Despite these negatives I still think it is better than the first.

Was there one after the mid credits, also?
