I am giving this underrated series a 9/10. It does exactly what it sets out to do, which is make us laugh.

10 at its peak, 6-7 at its earliest & latest. Gave it an 8.
My first episode was the bbq where Al is super horny for his wife, which of course would be the first & last time. Some great sight gags like Al jumping out the airplane sans parachute, & falling off the roof.

It felt like a breath of fresh air when it premiered after a decade dominated by cutesy family shows. I loved the first couple of seasons. After that it just devolved into a slog of repetitive gags and a parade of hot babes for the guys in the audience to go "woooo" at.

It felt like a breath of fresh air when it premiered after a decade dominated by cutesy family shows. I loved the first couple of seasons. After that it just devolved into a slog of repetitive gags and a parade of hot babes for the guys in the audience to go "woooo" at. I mostly knew this show through the constant reruns in my country, where as of now (well, the last few years) it seems season 8-11 is in somekind of a Groundhog Day kind of state, where the earlier seasons do not excist anymore or the TV channel which airs them have no longer the rights to play them. A shame, as I picked up season one on DVD a few years ago and was amazed at how much different it was back in 1987 to that of 1994-97. I mean I enjoy very much the later ones but still I agree that it seemed to rely a little too often on repetitive situations on and on again but still I would rather have Married with Children going steady for another decade in reruns than having to watch any of todays sitcoms. Will probably have to buy the entire show on DVD or (not sure if it is out or ever will be on Blu-ray) but from what I have read it seems like most of the entire DVD collections are not that impressive and some have even edited out not only Frank Sinatra and the opening theme, but people have complained that entire scenes have been taken out as well. I know Mill Creek delivered a cheaper one back in 2015, but they do have their fair share of shady DVD releases, often with very poor sound and picture quality (Miami Vice seems to be one of many victims when it comes to 1980s TV shows) and no subtitles or bonus features, and the DVD discs themselves are often lying in some cheap paper layer which often means it will be easily damaged/scratched. But then again, I think they are actually ones which comes with no edits and have the opening theme intact, and as I said, the price is not that bad either.

5/10. Not sure what the hype was about, although I did start it in the later seasons.
