Nicolas Winding Refn was set to direct a remake /reimagining of this awhile back (starring Ryan Gosling) but Gosling is probably too old now for the role & Refn has moved on to other projects. A shame cause that would have ruled.
no clue really who could be the lead role now (maybe Jack O' Connell )
