I don’t want to watch Agents of Shield but I’m curious as to how they accounted for him existing in Agents of Shield after we clearly saw him die. Does anyone know?

It's a different version of the character than in the movies. AoS isn't really connected to the movies. They just say AoS is connected to the movies to get suckers to watch the crappy TV show because they know no one will watch AoS if they don't say it's connected to the movies. But the truth is that AoS isn't connected to the movies at all.

He used The Force in order to return to Starfleet in the TARDIS.

Everyone who watches the show knows, he was revived days after he was killed by a secret SHIELD project using Kree blood. I don't tend to think of the show as being in the same universe as the films.

Same with AGENT CARTER, INHUMANS and the Marvel shows on Netflix, Hulu and Freeform. They all have cameos from actors from the movies and/or lines that reference events from the movies. The thing is that the connection is weak because they want them to work as stand-alone works. Actually, one could say the same thing about a lot of the movies. Does he have super powers? Nope.

Does he have super powers? No, just the opposite. The kree blood keeping him alive has been burnt out, he's suppose to die in like a week. I would remiss though to no mention he lost his hand has replaced it with a robot hand, among his collection of hands is one that has an xray inside of it, plus it creates a force field shield.

But the truth is that AoS isn't connected to the movies at all. It usually connects at the end of each season If you watched you would know Coulson died. He was brought back to life in a process meant to revive an Avenger. Coulson was the friend who supplied the helicarrier in Ultron.
