I don't see a lot of regret for anything he's done. Certainly a man who sees great importance in everything he does. And theater. Ultimately, theater seems his greatest motivation.

I believe that Ford is now the Cradle. He will live on forever and control the machines from behind the scenes. I think he plans on replacing the human race.
