If two or more people from the same family (same generation or multiple generations) appeared on film...that might be considered a "family acting dynasty on film." I can think of several (from small groups to big ones, as blood relatives or side branches of blood relatives). How many can we list with images here? For example, here is a small acting dynasty: The LockhartsGene Lockhart was a character actor in MANY movies, eg., Miracle on 34th Street (1947) & Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940) His wife was Kathleen Lockhart , eg. The Glenn Miller Story (1954) & A Christmas Carol (1938) and the couple had a daughter named June Lockhart (still living). June was best known for her role as Timmy's mother on TV and movie versions of Lassie, but was also in Sergeant York (1941) and Meet Me in St. Louis (1944) But, wait there's more. What about June's daughter, Anne Lockhart who was in Jory (1973) and TV's Battlestar Galactica? Both are alive and dong well............ How many Family Acting Dynasties on film can we trace (with images) from movies, TV shows? There are lots of famous ones. Consider the Masseys.....The Barymores, etc.

Several Coppolas have appeared in films, though none are well known for acting. (Update: well, Nicholas Cage is a Coppola.)
The Hustons span three generations.

Images from films please..."we" want images and film name examples of two and how the actors/actresses are related to each other... Who wants to try the Redgraves/Richardsons connections? Well let me try to work that one up her. (This post to be edited with images and connections as I work them up) Lord Michael Redgrave known for The Lady Vanishes (1938) ; The Browning Version (1951); The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner (1962) The latter movie was directed by his future son-in-law, Tony Richardson
was married to Lady Rachel Kempson The Captive Heart (1946) - Tom Jones (1963) - Georgy Girl (1966). Actually, Rachel Kempson and Lynn Redgrave may have first worked together in Tony Richardson's movie, Tom Jones (1963). In Georgy Girl (1966), she played the mother of one of her real life daughters, Lynn RedgraveWho is the sister of Vanessa Redgrave who, I think was the first woman I saw with naked breasts in Blow-Up (1966) (but they never show that on TV so I can't prove it) Vanessa Redgrave was married to Tony Richardson in 1962. After they had been married, the Richardson and some of the Redgraves were involved making Tony Richardson's The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968). Perforomers in this movie included Richardson's wife, Vanessa Redgrave; her, brother Corin Redgrave; and their mother, Rachel Kempson. Tony and Vanessa, had at least one daughter in 1963.They called her Natasha Richardson who co-starred with her mother and aunt (Lynn) in the James Ivory movie called The White Countess (2005)
Joely Richardson, Rebecca's Daughters (1992) is Tony and Vanessa's second daughter, born in 1965, and therefore, Natasha's younger sister. She too, had a small uncredited role in The Charge of the Light Brigade (1968), but she was very young there. She might be known for her work in Rebecca's Daughters (1992). Jemma Redgrave is Corin Redgrave's daughter. She was born in 1965 and may be known for role in Howards End (1992) where she worked with her aunt, Vanessa.
So, who are the people in this picture? --Two sisters, a brother (Corin) and a mother? children and grandchildren?

These two guys got their kids into movies. The guy on the left got a son and granddaughter roles in The Alamo. The actor who I think of the most for acting with his kids is John Mills. He had Hayley and Juliet in movies almost since they were babies.

The MasseysCanadian-born Raymond Massey was nominated for a Best Actor Oscar for Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940). He is also known for many other roles including East of Eden (1955) and A Matter of Life and Death (1946) The first time I had ever seen him was in the 60 TV series Dr. Kildare (1961-1966) in which played Dr. Leonard Gillespie opposite Richard Chamberlain in the title role. This series had already been made for movies and radio. This was the TV series. Raymond Massey was married to Adrianne Allen from 1929-1939. Adrianne Allen was a supporting actress in movie such as Merrily We Go to Hell (1932) Raymond Massey and Adrianne Allen had two children: One of their children was Daniel Massey who was in The Entertainer (1960) and was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in the movie, Star! (1968) and may be in the middle of this image: Daniel was almost a dead ringer for his father, Raymond here: Then there was Daniel's sister, Anna Massey who also had some resemblance to her father and brother. She may be most familiar to as from Hitchock's Frenzy (1972) Or, if not there, Michael Powell's Peeping Tom (1960).

BAT and Spider-- Thanks for doing the Fondas the Barrymores...I was hoping someone would do them too.
John Barrymore's (Sr) daughter, Diana Barrymore, was depicted in the movie, Too Much, Too Soon (1958), in which Dorothy Malone played Diana, and Errol Flynn played her father, John Barrymore, Sr. The movie takes place at a time, when Diana was just trying to relate to her father. John was in a hopeless alcoholic decline--still hoping he might be able to get a role as Sheridan Whiteside in The Man Who Came to Dinner (the role that Monty Woolley played in the movie version). It was a sad movie in many ways...it was also Errol Flynn's last feature film.
The one movie I remember seeing with John Drew Barrymore was in Fritz Lang's While the City Sleeps (1956).
