It will easily cross 2B world wide and has a real shot at 2.5B+ With inflation, IMAX, IMAX 3D, real 3D and repeat viewing. Consider this. With Inflation, "The Lion King" would have made 1.68B dollars World Wide TODAY. Now, take into account in 2012 "The Lion King" was re-released in theaters during the '3D' craze. It grossed more money opening weekend than NEW MOVIES that came out that weekend, in a limited release. It nearly 100M dollars in a RE-RELEASE for 3D. A movie people own on VHS, DVD, and Blu-Ray at home, they can watch for free. 3D re-releases: "Toy Story" 30M ... "Beauty and the Beast" 47M ... "Titanic" 57M .... "Finding Nemo "41M" ... "The Lion King" 94M Thats double, and triple these other popular film titles re-released in the same few years span in 3D. There is something special about "The Lion King". Who will see it? -Adults (male and female) -Adults with kids -Kids -Conservatives -Liberals -It has a world wide message (so foreign gross is high). -Adults who saw this as a kid and want to re-live it. -Multiple viewings with kids. If "The Jungle Book" can make virtually 1B world wide (a semi-popular cartoon from the 1960s) compared to a Disney Renaissance beloved tale that everyone likes, made with the same technology and same director. It's a lock. Read more: imdb2.freeforums.net/thread/5865/next-2-dollar-film#ixzz4bXElDf57

You're delusional to think that it's going to gross $2 billion.
