I hope they really get at the war feel that the trailer had. It seemed like a Vietnam-esque, guerilla type of fighting (no pun intended). If the combat is good and both Harrelson and Caesar get a good sendoff, I'll be happy.

I know right? Looks intense as hell.I know right?! And I wasn't even interested in the first one initially. But we quietly have the best sci fi trilogy of this era and arguably one of the best ever. They are so intense and emotional. And the effects!

It's really sad that these movies aren't as popular as they should be. WETA deserves better after seeing what ILM did in Beauty and the Beast and Rogue One. ::shudder::

Not looking forward. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is in my opinion one of the worst blockbusters ever made. It's a 1/10.

I think it's one of the better blockbusters of the past few years. Every time I watch it I notice more of its brilliance. What did you not like about it? 1/10 is a brutal score.

Watching this movie is like if Hitler had won WWII and conquered the world, and then they made a "what if" movie about what would have happened if the Allies had won.

Everyone I talk to loves it. I'm apparently just weird haha. There's quite a few things about it that I have problems with. The characters are one of them. I couldn't stand any of them, they were all annoying, uninteresting, forgettable and had in my opinion, awful dialogue with so many cringe worthy lines. Aside from this, I found the story to be boring, uninteresting, overlong and just...silly? That's the best word I can come up to describe it. The apes versus human conflict wasn't portrayed well and I found it to be so corny that apes were taking on combined military forces in some type of gorilla warfare (pun intended). I have some more problems with it but those are the main. Uninteresting characters combined with a over ridiculous plot really added up to be a very disappointing movie which is a shame, I had really high expectations before watching it. And perhaps 1/10 is to brutal of the score, I just couldn't shake the disappointment I had for it months after viewing.

I also can agree to an extent that the characters are better acted than they are developed. I guess it's just personal preference. Hopefully this movie can redeem the trilogy for you.

Maybe it could. I did enjoy Rise so we'll have to see.

I wonder if this will be the last movie or if a 4th movie will be made. That's what I was wondering. I kinda don't see where they could go after this without rehashing what was done in the originals. The movies are so well made and entertaining, I wouldn't be disappointed to see a 4th.
