I havent bothered rewatching it but the only victim I remember was Katherine Isabelle's role who I have not seen in anything else but her name comes up a lot in independent horror films and when people mentioned she was in F vs J and the role she played--I remembered her. That's all I remember.

Out of thousands? He is the only one as writer-director who has made a competent mostly traditional style horror film (the Brood). And he had to use British acting leads. Still stands--if Canadian, buyer beware. My favorite is Rituals and the director is British. There are cases of Canadians who went abroad like Lindsay Shonteff who made horror films in other countries. Devil Doll is pretty good. Sydney J Furie did Dr. Blood's Coffin. Alan Gibson is another.

The fight scenes, sure. The rest of the movie is just a loosesly put together excuse for those 15-20 minutes.

It’s watchable. All the characters suck but it’s worth it for the Fred vs Jason fight.

Katherine Isabelle is also one of the leads of the Ginger Snaps movies. I liked the first one, not so much the sequels. Those are Canadian too, I believe.
Anyway, I actually quite liked Freddy vs Jason. It's very stylish, balances the two killers pretty well, has some fun kills, pokes fun at itself while not becoming entirely a joke, and has a decent cast all around.
It's certainly not the best of either series, but it's also certainly not the worst of either, and while it's pretty dumb I think it's kinda fun.
Some of that could be nostalgia. It was the first one of either series that I saw in a theater, and I went with some friends and had a great time the first time I saw it.
But I maintain that there is fun to be had with this one.

I think it's one of those movies that one appreciates more after a repeat viewing/s. Being a fan of slasher icons, I have a lot of fun watching it. Don't care what others say.

When the Friday The 13th series started going all supernatural and sometimes silly, I just went along with it. The Freddy Krueger series never got as crazy. The two together was going to be fun, but a little contrived. If you're expecting too much you may be disappointed, but if you look at it as the cash-grab schlocky mash-up it is, you'll have fun.

Sure. It's a good film to drink with if you're alone and bored on a Friday night.
