Considering how lackluster audience reception was to the latest Superman big screen incarnations (both Cavill's and Routh's) and their overwhelming reception to Wonder Woman, would it make sense for DC to step Superman down and get Wonder Woman to take his spot as DC's flagship character instead? Diana's personal characteristics seem a bit more relevant to today's generation, she's not too OP to be boring, plus DC can win PC points for making a female (non-caucasian) hero their flagship character. I think it would be a great move for DC to make. What do you think?

That seems to be what they're *trying* to do in the DCEU. Until both Superman and Batman get another outing, I wouldn't complain about it.

How would we know if she’s replaced Superman or not?
Also, I should just point out that Wonder Woman is indeed considered Caucasian, and that applies to Gal Gadot as well, given that she’s of Polish and Austrian descent.

Gal Gadot is Israeli, which makes her middle-easterner if we go by country location, or of Mediterranean heritage if we go by her people's racial characteristics. Just because she has some Polish and Austrian genes from her ancestors doesn't make her caucasian. Wonder Woman (the character) is Greek, which is also Mediterranean.

Gal Gadot herself is not of Middle Eastern descent, as far as I know. Her parents and grandparents were all from Europe, which means that she’s considered an Ashkenazi Jew. In other words, she’s white.

And though her family line does indeed have European ancestry, that doesn't mean she's Caucasian. That's like claiming a Chinese man who's 1/4 Caucasian is not Asian but actually Caucasian. Besides, all you really need to do is look at Gadot's features to know that she looks more like other Mediterranians like Greeks, Turks or Italians as opposed to looking Caucasian like Germans or Swedish or Polish.

Greeks and Italians are considered Caucasian as well. Looking at her background, it would indeed seem that she comes from a long line of European family members. She isn’t just 1/4 Caucasian. She has roots tracing back to Poland, Austria, Germany and Ukraine.

Though the DCEU flagship should be "The Trinity" and not just Superman, Batman or WW.

After all, where's Man of Steel 2?
Wheres Batman 1? Batman! The MOST popular super hero! Period! They're still not even in production on that. You'd think they'd fast track that mutha! They have a director! Two if you count Affleck himself! WTF?!
Instead we're already in production on Wonder Woman 2. And did you notice how on the cover for the Justice League DVD she's the one up front?
Yeah, she IS the DCEU flagship right now. And actually I'm ok with that.
