1 vote for 'Rose Red'
I like how a whole history and mythology was created for the house, including a faux TV documentary about the house.

I guess the original Salem's Lot would be the best one. Or IT I suppose, which I think is relatively faithful and really not a bad adaptation at all.
I saw Rose Red when it was new, but I don't remember a god damn thing about it. I never saw The Shining remake miniseries thing, the Salem's Lot remake one, or The Stand. I watched the first episode of Storm of the Century but didn't keep up with it.
Doesn't leave me with a lot of options that I've actually seen.
I'm sure there are more, but those are the ones I'm aware of.

Salem’s Lot of the 70s. It’s genuinely scary at times with those vampire kids.
Second would be the Stand I guess...even tho it’s really cheesy I love the collection of characters it has.

Salem's Lot original.
"The Master wants you. Throw away your cross. Your faith against his faith. Can you do that? Is your faith strong enough?"

The Dark Tower tv series that they should have done instead of the lame film.

1) Salem's Lot (1979)
2) Storm of the Century
3) The Stand
'The Shining' (1997) I couldn't get into if for no other reason than the child actor who played Danny. Everything about him just annoyed me.

Favorite to least (some of these I have only seen once)
The Stand Salem's Lot (1979) It The Langoliers Desperation Storm of the Century Rose Red The Shining The Tommyknockers (fucking hated it)
I don't even remember much about the Salem's Lot remake. I have not watched Kingdom Hospital or The Golden Years, but someday I wanna watch the latter. I have heard it is pretty good and my aunt liked it and told me it was good, years and years ago.

“Salem’s Lot” (1979) would be my number one. “Storm of the Century” is another solid mini-series.

If it counts as a miniseries.
Otherwise, SALEMS LOT (1979).

Storm of the Century.
Spoilers below.
Ending - like most of King's endings is fantastic - when you see the father distraught at seeing his kid with the Devil - somebody correct me if I'm wrong - don't we see a 'tail' too?
