Who's a better villain? A bigger threat? Better design/CGI? Why is one better than the other... ect..?? Probably a click bait thread, and I know this is gonna get hit by a shitstorm real quickly, but I genuinely want to know if DC-Fan can give a legitimate argument here. I don't plan on agreeing with his opinion, BUT, if he can give a reasonable argument without going on his usual anti-MCU tirade, I'll give him credit. If he can't tho, then he's just a lousy and miserable troll clearly jealous of the MCU's success

I'll answer anyway, hopefully others do as well so to create a discussion rather than any upcoming arguement. Better villain - Thanos is definitely the better villain. He had more screen time so he had more to work with. His personality is more interesting and he has more presence. His motivations are much more clear. He's tied to other characters like Gamora, Nebula, Loki and Ronan whereas Steppenwolf doesn't tie to anybody. Bigger Threat - Obviously Thanos. He could wipe out all life in an instant if he wanted to. Before the Gauntlet probably equal they both were stronger than most of the strongest heroes. Better Design/CGi - Better design might be Steppenwolf actually. Thanos is a bit plain with how he looked in Infinity War. Without the armour he's just a big purple bald guy. The CGI seemed find for both so no real edge there.

That scene where Steppenwolf is taking on Themyscarians, Atlanteans, humans and Gods was better than anything in Avengers: Infinity War.

Easily Thanos. Steppenwolf actually isn't an incompetent villain per se but he's so relentlessly forgettable and uninteresting.

I'm going to be a contrarian and say I think Thanos was handled better.

Steppenwolf skipped into Star Labs to get the Mother Box because the Justice League decided they all should pose in front of Superman. That will forever trump Star Lord's emotional moment.
Also, Steppenwolf isn't the equivalent of Thanos. He'd be closer to Loki.

Thanos is better in every one of those aspects. Although the one thing Steppenwolfe may have been better at is being more menacing and evil. Thanos felt too soft at times with him shedding tears and self contemplating too much.
