I am simultaneously excited, because I love Sammy, and wary, because I love Sammy. ..which is really kind of funny, considering I'm not at all fond of Rat Pack "culture", much less their apparent ethos...but I just have a great deal of affection for SD, Jr. I found him adorable when he guest-starred on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In, but my interest in him really started when I read his memoirs, Yes I Can, a good many years ago. I found the book highly inspirational.

Ingrid Bolsø Berdal is an actress from Norway. I know her from the HBO series WESTWORLD. I think she could play May Britt, the Swedish actress that Sammy was controversially married to from 1960 to 1968. Berdal Sammy and May Britt

I’m rooting for Dule Hill as Sammy Davis. He’s not a huge name, but he’s a terrific dancer and actor.
My other best choice is Savion Glover, also not a huge name.
Of course they could go with raw talent and choose someone from the cast of Hamilton.

I wonder if they'll include the part about Linda Lovelace teaching Sammy to give blowjobs?

10 years ago there was buzz about a Sammy Davis, Jr. bio-pic after the performance of Elijah Kelley who played Seaweed in "Hairspray" (2007). He is still acting so, perhaps, still in the running. Here is his major number in "Hairspray." See what you think.
