After reading Lebowskidoo 🦞 threads about the killer bears of the 1970s, I came to think about The White Buffalo 1977. Do anyone remember it? My own memories of it was that it was very confusing, and that it got awfull reviews. Not sure if it should be classified as a horror movie, but looking at the posters, it looks like they tried to sell it as a horror movie. Wild Bill Hickock (Charles Bronson) and Crazy Horse (Will Sampson) teams up to seach for a mythical murderous albino buffalo. Tagline: "Charging... Roaring... Breathing Fire and Hell... The White Earthquake is Here!"

I saw this one. It was OK, certainly very different for a Charles Bronson movie.

teleadmI'm currently watching Man in the Wilderness (1971), later remade as The Revenant. It has both a buffalo and a mean bear! It's been that kind of week.

The Man in the Wilderness. Be on the lookout for Scotty!
He has a line or two.

I really like this cult film from the reliable pairing of Charles Bronson and director J Lee thompson. A very offbeat western journey with a mythical quality and a strong cast to boot (Will Sampson, Jack Warden etc). The pacing was slow and leisured with story shades of “Moby Dick”, but I remember the attack the scenes of the white buffalo were quite furious and destructive, but at the same time muddled in how they shot the mechanical buffalo giving off an uneasy hallucinogenic vibe during the encounters

Never seen this one, but as a big fan of Bronson I feel that something should surely be done about that in the near future. An awesome movie poster by the way, thanks for putting together a thread for this film teleadm.
