Pros - "Alan!" Always nice to have Sam Neill around. At least the plot isn't about trying to use Dinosaurs as tourist attractions again.
Cons Can we have a film in the series where children don't motivate the plot? "Alan!" Feels like a severe afterthought to the previous films. Almost as if it was made simply to retain the rights, which probably isn't the case though. Lacks the impact and scale of the previous films as well. The lack of Spielberg and Goldblum is felt.

Pros:
Alan Grant is a better lead than Malcolm
It's short
Some good set pieces, in particular the "birdcage"
Finally got a big dinosaur fight
Cons:
Plot is thin as paper
Those Kirby's really needed to be arrested at the end
Billy should have stayed dead
It didn't really bother me, but I can see how Grant and Sattler breaking up would take away from his arc in JP1

Pros:
- Sam Neill as the lead again.
- The birdcage scene
- The raptors not being villainous necessarily but just trying to retrieve their eggs.
- The Spinosaurus was an awesome addition.
- Eric is probably the coolest of the child characters in the franchise.
- The short running time.
- me personally, I thought it was a cool ending to have the pteranodons leave the island.
Cons:
- The cheesy fakeout nightmare scene.
- Tea Leoni's character is pretty dumb-but she's at least not Sarah Harding dumb.
- the much hyped battle between the Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Spinosaurus being so short and anticlimactic.
- The revelation that Alan and Ellie didn't stay together.
- No pitched battle between dinosaurs and the marines.

Pro: - Truest to classic monster movie form in the entire franchise; no immature children, no fences, no security, no handholding. Great dino encounters, fun moments of levity, & a brisk pace.
Con: - While I really enjoy JP3, my fav of the franchise, I could do with less of the lying to get Grant on island by Leoni & Macy which seems sillier with re-watches.

Pros:
Sam Neill's return. Laura Dern's brief return. William H. Macy Better, more focused plot than The Lost World. Good ending.
Cons:
Way too short. Lack of a human antagonist. Goldblum should have been involved somehow. Tea Leoni's awful performance.

Pros: -Like most already said, the return of Sam Neill. -It's still very fun to watch. -Despite the writing, it does have an easy story to follow.
Cons: -Not long enough. -The most B-movie of the bunch, feeling a bit too similar to a slasher or silly creature flick. -The cringeworthy (but hilarious) raptor dream.

Pros: - Hits the ground running; is short and to the point. The movie gets in and out before it wears out its welcome - Sam Neill is back - Birdcage scene is a highlight of the series - Cons: - The ending is a tad too abrupt - CGI dinos look baaad I actually find this to be a bit of an underrated b/monster flick. I put it on more often than The Lost World or Jurassic World, that's for sure.

I enjoyed it better than Lost World Pros: Fast Paced. The actions scenes were pretty good. Dr. Grant is a better lead The kid is the best one in the whole series The big, bad dinosaur is awesome Cons: Dr. Grant's sidekick is horrible Being chased by dinosaurs is the new marriage counseling T-Rex should never be killed This particular scene:

Forgot one more thing. I actually dug the inclusion of the replicated raptor bone that enables communication. How cool is that?

Cons:
Domestic strife story was weak though the cast was good (other than Mulder's wife)
t-rex spino fight too short. Also, would a t-rex really abandon a good meal to chase people? I dont think so.
Ending too quick
wish they could keep children out of a movie at least once (though the kids didnt irritate me like in the first movie)
Pros:
Alan Grant does something more interesting that babysitting kids. He has a character arc. Has to rediscover himself.
I didn't mind is sidekick though I haven't watched the film in a while-maybe it would annoy me more. He's meant to be a younger more optimistic version of Grant.
I think the dinosaur scenes were good--they finally showed the raptors running at full speed. And it was also a nice change that they weren't the villains of the story.
It felt very much like an old fashioned jungle quest movie. At an hour and a half that used to be the standard length for such films..though the entry of the marines felt rushed.

Pros -
Bringing back Sam Neill The birdcage scene. It's cool they finally brought that scene from the novel into the films.
The short run time Raptors aren't mindless killing creatures like in LW, here they're more like the intelligent ones from the original The shot of the Spinosaurus's dorsal following the humans down the river
Cons -
The Kirbys (Leoni and Macy) trick a bunch of people to go on the island, get most of them killed, but it's OK because their little family is back together? Tea Leoni is awfully shrill and unlikable
The Spinosaurus is underutilized. OK, so it's bigger than T-Rex, but what exactly is unique about it? It's just a mindless rampaging monster No human antagonist No real climax. The Spinosaurus just runs away, the raptors get their eggs and the Army arrives. That's it?

The only things that I liked about "JURASSIC PARK III" were the Opening Scene and the Movie's Soundtrack. That Is It!
