Cons - Again with the damn kids. Why do I care their parents are divorcing? Gomer Pyle wanting to use raptors to fight The Taliban. I just imagine they decked out in army uniforms and helmets read to go fight for 'Murica! Sounds fucking stupid, right?
Pros - Bryce Dallas Howard is fucking hot. Jake Johnson has some of the better lines. Irrfan Khan is essentially the Indian Tony Stark. What a cool cat. Zara's death is hilariously cruel.

Pro: I fell asleep because it was so stupid.
Con: I fell asleep after paying $12 or whatever.

Pros:
Bryce Dallas Howard is fucking hot. Incredible effects and cinematography. Chris Pratt is a good lead, he's no Sam Neill but he's close. Really cool idea having a fully functional park as the centerpiece. Bryce Dallas Howard is fucking hot. Bryce Dallas Howard is fucking hot.
Cons:
The kids, ugh…didn't care about them or that stupid subplot about their parents divorcing. No members of the original cast returning except for B.D. Wong. The plot kinda loses me after a while. Much like JP3 was too short, I felt like this was a bit too long.

Cons: -Some of the character arcs can be done without. -Why send your kids all alone on a day trip? Seems careless of the parents if you ask me...
Pros: -Fantastic special effects. -The climax, T-Rex vs. Indominous Rex! -Chris Pratt is fun as always. -The ending shot.

Cons:
Not enough animatronics
Weak characters
Didn't mind the kids themselves (it's arguably the first entry of the series where it actually makes sense for kids to be there) , but did we need the divorcing parents subplot?
Pros:
The park is finally open, cool. I also like how it's portrayed like any other theme park, with bored teenagers working there and Margaritavilles and whatnot
It has a self-awareness that I respect. "Marketing shows we need to up the ante this time around!"
The final dinosaur fight is fan service of the highest order
Love the big "dinosaurs run amock" set piece, including said hilariously cruel death
Militaries have used animals for combat, so I have no doubt that they'd see the intelligent death machines that are the velociraptors and think "Maybe we can use these things?" Especially with guerrilla fighters where raptors can sniff them out
Cool to see Wu back

Pros:
- Brought back the fun and wonder of the original film.
- that shot in the hotel scene revealing the park in all its glory.
- Chris Pratt as the lead
- Irrfan Khan is an amusing choice for the role of the CEO;shame he doesn't last long.
- Jake Johnson's memorabilia collection.
- the Indominus Rex being able to camouflage;they really don't do much with that once it's unveiled.
- that Apatosaurus dying was so sad!
- The mosasaur in all its scenes.
- Pteradactyle attack.
- "I already have a boyfriend."
- Henry Wu's return.
- "We need more teeth".
- Michael Giacchino's rousing musical score.
Cons:
- Bryce Dallas Howard's characterization and her predictable arc.
- Brian Tee being killed so quickly.
- No mention of Dodgson or Biosyn, Ingen's rival in the books.
- The divorce subplot is tacky and adds nothing.
- As far as the kids go, Ty Simpkins(?) isn't bad but Nick Robinson is rather creepy.

Pros: - Lots of dino action, cheesy as it all may be - Jimmy Buffett fleeing the scene while double-fisting margaritas
Cons: - Chris Pratt's dialogue/banter with Bryce Dallas Howard is nowhere near as witty as the movie thinks it is - Shittiest CGI of the series - Characters make poor decisions over and over again - Movie has a really odd and shitty attitude towards its female characters - Plot points are brought up but never expanded upon, i.e. the divorce subplot, the mostly deleted thread with the main kid being on the spectrum - That scene where the little kid opens the window to gaze upon ...a crowded resort? and the iconic Jurassic Park theme swells. Just...what? Is this supposed to be "wonder and amazement" for somebody? - Jake Johnson is unfunny and the movie screeches to a halt every time he appears on screen - Vincent D'Onofrio is completely wasted and he dies mostly off-screen - Jimmy Fallon
The more I think about this movie, the less I like it.

Lets do "pro" first, cause it's easier:
Pros:
Zero
Cons:
Not enough space. Suffice to say it was neo-Nazi ideology, and it wasn't even subtle. I always wondered why all the women were blond in previous movies, and all were protected by Spielberg's Hitler God, and pretty well knew when they finally had a hot brunette for the guys to look at that they would kill her. No heterosexual young man could possibly like this movie. Can't be done.
Then there's the four leads. The hero and the youngest boy aren't so bad, but the other two are human monsters that we don't even care if they change their ways or not. They're beyond "sick". They're totally Manson minded pukes.
Then there's the plain silliness. It's totally without inspiration, totally without strategy, totally without enthusiasm, totally without entertainment value. It may be the worst movie ever made.

I havent got around to it. One of the turn offs is they used motion capture for the dinosaur animation. So they have humans-around 6 foot, doing the motions for animals which are much heavier and bulkier. It is going to look like Godzilla or King Kong 2005. Weightless cgi. I'll check out a highlight real one day.

Pros:
Mosasaur was awesome.
Cons:
Everyone in the movie makes incredibly poor decisions.
The premise that people don't think that "ordinary" dinosaurs are exciting enough, so the creation of a super-dangerous giant, invisible predator dinosaur becomes necessary, is absurd.
1950's morality story where the shrewish business woman has to devote herself to children to become worthy of love.
Bryce Howard running all over the jungle in high heels.
"We need more teeth" is the dumbest line in cinema history.

Cons:
-Poorly executed subplots.
-Kids reaction to danger. One second a dinosaur is chasing them, the next they are laughing and cheering. (Compare that to the TREX attack/Tree incident in JP. Tim looks traumatized and Lex is in shock) The moment Sam Neil consoles them executes two things, it gives the kids character development, connects them to the audience, and it helps Dr. Grant grow as seeing kids as people not a nuisance he has to put up with. That bond they develop pays off later when they are under attack at the end. YOU CARE about them. Pop Quiz, give me the name of the two boys from JW (without IMDb or Google)... but I remember Lex and Tim's names because I cared.
-Too much CGi. Why not spend the time and money to recreate the effects Speilberg did with JW in 1993. It's sad that dinosaurs in 1993 look more authentic to the eye than dinosaurs in 2015.
-Why does it have to be a divorce subplot with kids that belong to the park manager?
-unnecessary stories that have no pay off. When Dr. Grant is on the plane safe with the kids and everyone, leaving JP island, you feel accomplished. As if you can finally breathe. The forced romance with Dallas Bryce Howard and Pratt didn't pay off at all, it seems contrived.
Pros:
The T-Rex saves them at the end. This is only a pro if you are a fan of the original. If JW is your first Jurassic movie, then it is just another cgi fight.
