For the Stephen A. Smith Network.
Seriously, I'll ask you NBA fans, what has he done to dominate the largest sports platform? Every fucking time I go to the website, there's good ol' SAS yapping about LeBron of Kawhi Leonard. Every time I turn on ESPN News, there's good ol' SAS, yapping about LeBron or the Lakers or the "Kawhi-Popovich Summit" (they really referred to the meeting as a 'summit'). I know that ESPN is heavily invested in the NBA because they are owned by ABC, but how far away from "The Worldwide Leader in Sports" day can you get. They cover the NBA more in the offseason than during the playoffs. And the poster boy for all of the is, you guessed it, Stephen A. Smith. WHY? And how can anyone enjoy listening to someone who talks down to his audience like he does? Every time I do listen to his rants, I feel like a bad boy.
And why hasn't Colin Cowherder gone of the ESPN? He's still creaming his jeans over the GS Warriors.

Plenty of other places to get sports news and scores.

That idiot is part of what makes the NBA unwatchable for me. For some strange reason ESPN polling must find him a draw. Why I have no clue.
It doesn't help that ESPN covers the NBA 10x more than any other sport. Hell, they have NBA headlines all football season long.

ESPN is all basketball all the time. Really disgusting and probably the main reason I don't watch them any more. Stephen A Smith is an extremely loud, boorish asshole, and I often wonder how it is that he still has a job in light of some of the terrible things he's said.

He's still creaming his jeans over the GS Warriors. He's loud. That's really all there is to it. From what I can tell, he doesn't even say radical things, he just asserts himself more than everyone else. People tune in to watch rants no matter what is being said. ESPN has been the hot take network for over a decade, they're just refining the process to a science now. Put the loud guy on as much as you can, he'll generate a response one way or another no matter what (if anything at all) is actually being said. What's interesting to me is the guys who spout radical bullshit all the time have fled ESPN for greener pastures while SAS has remained at ESPN with his volume at 11 Captain Obvious commentary. I guess when you think about it, it makes perfect sense. ESPN (parent company is Disney) has also been criticized for being too corporate, too bland, not trying to offend anyone. So how do you stay in the 'hot take' game while offending the fewest people? Keep the guy who yells the most generic things all day long, that's how.
