Did you catch the new trailer? It's taking shots at the critical reviews-no point n intended.

In this movie's case, getting made was not a good thing.

When a film has several producers attached, goes through a long development hell, has a delayed release and doesn't get screened for critics, it's a sign the film isn't very good.
Now all that said, I have a morbid curiosity to see this film!

Travolta thought he would get an Oscar nomination for this.

Has anyone seen it? I really don't wanna watch 2 hours of Travolta with make up that makes him look like Zoolander 30 years later.

I wonder if it's bad enough to enjoy on DVD with a group of friends at home.

HAHAHAHAHA Some standout blurbs: "I'd rather wake up next to a severed horse head than ever watch 'Gotti' again." "Starring in this mobster biopic that deserves to get whacked is an offer Travolta should have refused. Insane testimonials from Gotti supporters at the end are as close as this s---show will ever get to good reviews."

What's funny is that it has a 60% in the audience score. WTF?

What's funny is that it has a 60% in the audience score. WTF? Some suspect they're from people who were making new accounts for jacking up the score upon its release. For giggles I guess? Could be some of those Gotti supporters they interviewed.

What's funny is that it has a 60% in the audience score. WTF? I am guessing that audience dont follow (or in some cases even notice/recognize) the quality of the craft behind this movie. Which was pretty bad. Writing, acting, very wrong casting and/ or make up work. Travolta looking his age when playing a 40 year old, his son when supposed to be 40 and above played by a 25 year old with NO MAKEUP not even gray hair I kid you not. Camera work, production design. All of it was pointing at a quite low budget movie. With a lot of productions problems. Joe Pesci was supposed to be in it. I wish he had stayed on he could have added a lot of value. The movie as an experience for a viewer is NOT bad. I didnt walk out. And maybe good half of it I enjoyed. But (and I am sad to say because I like the guy) it shows some level of inexperience of the director. Travoltas performance was all over the place. With some scenes him being genuinely very good and some laughable and obvious lack of direction there. As wel as characters blocking and overall the acting was odd at times even from otherwise decent actors. But the biggest problem is the script. Not because it would be that stupid but because it was unmanaged. convoluted with too many characters and WAY WAY too many time lines and jumps in between, it was so confusing. The voiceover helped SOME but not enough. It was also too short for such a complex material covering more than 3 decades of this guys life and trying to get us to understand the complexity of the cosa nostras actions and relationships of different families and bosses. ot me that was the biggest problem. I wish they had added 20 minutes. 4/10 from me. Not a total waste of money in my eyes. Just one flawed movie.

I haven't seen yet, but I am reading nothing but terrible things, so don't think I will bother. I would rather watch Super Fly.
Superfly is much worse if you ask me. Superfly I couldnt get through. I activelly suffered. Gotti I got through no problems and the worst I was thinking was "well maybe in the material there is a better movie somewhere, it a shame" Superfly added value could be "its so bad some find it entertaining/ it has music video wibe to i". But its so stupid and the acting is just as bad if not worse than in Gotti….
