Thoughts on this Jesus Franco movie? I didn't watch it all the way through but I found it interesting visually. Couldn't really make head nor tail of it though.

That's the thing about Franco. Even though many of his films might not hit on narrative, they almost always have an indistinguishable quality to them; not to mention the cinematography... or the babes.

Count me as a fan - a Eurotrash reboot of VERTIGO with James Darren as jazz musician who whilst in Rio encounters the double of a dead woman (Maria Rohm) murdered in Istanbul the year before.... the late Maria Rohm (who died earlier this month) is beyond gorgeous as Venus , and the sinister trio responsible for her death are Dennis Price, Margaret Lee and dear sweet Klaus Kinski (in a turban I think). Groovy music from Manfred Mann.
NYTimes had this to say "features much inept fancy moviemaking (including echoes of "La Dolce Vita" and even "Vertigo"), some semi-nudity, and virtually endless confusion"
