Lockhart is the daughter of Canadian-born actor Gene Lockhart and English-born actress Kathleen Arthur Lockhart. June Lockhart made her movie debut a A Christmas Carol 1938 in uncredited role, and got her first credited role in All This, and Heaven Too 1940. June Lockhart has two stars on The Hollywood Walk of Fame, one for movies and one for television. Some samples from her career: All This, and Heaven Too 1940, with Bette Davis, Ann E. Todd and Virginia Weilder. Son of Lassie 1945, with Peter Lawford, later in her career she would play against Lassie on TV. She-Wolf of London 1946, with Sara Haden T-Men 1947 lobby card, with Dennis O'Keefe Lassie 1958 - 1964, as Ruth Martin in over 200 episodes, with with Hugh Reilly and Jon Provost. Lost in Space 1965 - 1968, with Guy Williams, for 84 episodes. Petticoat Junction 1968 - 1970, for 45 episodes Troll, a 1986 horror movie. She also played Gary Cooper's teenage sister in SERGEANT YORK. She really became an actress in her own right as Lucille in MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS. From then on, it was TV and stardom.
