Here's how the conversation went down:
When are we getting a Gay, Bi, LGBTQ, out character in the MCU? Is it even in the works?
Kevin Feige: Yes.
The Playlist: That’s the answer?
Kevin Feige: Yeah, that’s the answer.
The Playlist: It’s not someone we’ve seen yet, I’m guessing?
Kevin Feige: Both.
The Playlist: Both?
Kevin Feige: Both ones you’ve seen and ones you haven’t seen.

Isn't Mystique Bisexual? They should bring her in and cast Kat Dennings

Well I know there were already hints to Valkyrie being bi. I wonder if they'll make Cap. Marvel gay?

Ugh god why do they keep shoving this gay stuff down our throats? Nobody cares nobody wants a gay or tranny superhero running around in a rainbow cape.
Its PC crap like that is whats killing off the comics sales. People dont go to see superhero movies for gay characters. Enough of this.

Marvel with have to be careful how they do it though. North America and a couple of first-world countries might be open to openly LGBT characters but the greater majority of the world aren't.
They'll need to start with smaller characters and slowly build up. If they go straight to a major character or show it too strongly it might backfire on them.

Because straight people are the norm, its just done for convenience sake the movies dont dwell on it. Its not a love story. Its a superhero movie and as time has gone on theyve actually been phasing the relationship stuff out of the movies because people dont care. When they have gay characters its just shoehorned into the movie so they can pretend theyre so progressive and get some headlines like the gay yellow Power Ranger and that did nothing for the movie because it flopped so whats the point? This isnt a franchise of movies where we give a shit about who is gay, who is a tranny, sexual assault victims, family abuse, drug abuse etc. Its not a soap. Its just about people in costumes fighting each other and saving people, theyd be shoehorning in gay characters just for the sake of it. That already annoys people enough as it is with other media.

I wouldn't say their phasing it out. Star-Lord and Gamora kissed in Infinity War and Tony and Pepper are engaged with a baby being teased. They also displayed heterosexual relationship in Black Panther as well. There's no reason why we can't have a gay relationship in a film, especially in a franchise that's been prominent with straight characters. LGBTQ people exist and have as much of a right to be represented in movies as much as straight people.

It played a insignificant part in Black Panther. Even the Spider-man movies where it played a huge part wasnt much of a thing in Homecoming. Gay relationships also make people uncomfortable because its weird to see especially outside of America. That was why Love Simon bombed. They were represented in that movie but it wasnt supported. It never works coz they add in gay characters to be PC, then in the movie they reveal they are gay in a matter of fact way as if its no big deal and just normal but then in real life they always make a big deal out of it just to make headlines. Ooooh we have a gay Power Ranger....nobody cared movie flopped. They made Sulu gay in the Star Trek movie...George Takei didnt like it so that backfired. They made a big deal out of the gay moment with Josh Gad in BATB and said it was romantic but no it wasnt it was two seconds and was pointless. JK Rowling made Dumbledore gay randomly and the movie is ignoring it because nobody cares. Zia in JW was supposed to be gay but it was cut because nobody cares who is gay in a movie about dinosaurs. The MCU already has a gay character anyway with that woman from Jessica Jones.

Marvel isn’t exactly going to put a gay kiss in there. It won’t be graphic or even obvious.

Ehhhh I'm indifferent to this because I do think people aren't really that bothered in the love interests and relationships in these Superhero movies anymore.
At one point it did seem like every superhero movie had to have a love interest in it (I think that was Spider-man's fault) but they have toned it down a lot recently.
This is the kind of thing better suited for the Netflix shows because they're much more character driven stories and they have time to delve into properly.
I remember they made a huge fuss over Valkrie being the first Bi character in the MCU but for the life of me I don't recall anything in the movie that said as much.
