I have recurring dreams of playing an LP or cassette tape on my old stereo. I used to have a stereo 20 years ago, but I played CDs more often than LPs or tapes. I had about 30 or 40 LPs at the time.
Now I have a turntable but only a small handful of LPs. I have little desire to play them.
I have no idea what this signifies and why I keep seeing it.

I have reoccurring dreams too, have had for many dreams.

How can you explain a dream?
You can attempt to, but you'd just be guessing

Some of the albums are real, some of them don't exist in real life. I think I enjoy playing them, but that time was a really bad time in my life. So while it might be focusing on something that made me happy, just for a little while, I'm way happier nowadays, so I don't understand what it's trying to tell me.

I am 48 years old, and since I was sixteen, I have had the same recurring dream involving "Chrissie", the first victim from JAWS. It's a very scary, disturbing dream, with the main thing being Chrissie's absolute total fear of what is happening to her.
I have probably had that dream somewhere between 3-6 times a year. There are often variations. I believe a few times it was actually a scene from JAWS 2, and it involved the curly haired cutie pie, Eddie, who got the same foamy, free ride treatment as did poor Chrissie. The strongest feelings in the dreams are always of the deep green water and the fear of what's underneath the surface. Usually the shark does not appear, but you know it's there.
One time, however, I was in the middle of the ocean, about fifty feet away from the boat, lots of foamy, very pretty blue water and the huge shark leaps out of the water and jumps right over my head! That one was wild! I didn't get hurt or anything, but it was sooo vivid.

i had one from my childhood that baffled me until recently...
Raiders of the Lost Ark and meatballs.
i am in standing in a warehouse room [large room filled with massive strings of spaghetti mountains, hills and valleys. near the top of the highest mound was a large, square door. the door opens and out slides a massive meatball which rolls down the mounds of spaghetti towards me. it always took the same route.
then recently, it hit me... at least three times a week we had some sort of marinara based dinner.

I have a recurring dream of being away from home in some building that is like a combination of a mall and school(my old schools). Usually involves me seeking a way to get back home by bus or walking.

There was a period of time when I was having this recurring dream of me standing in some field near these train tracks, and then a freight train would come along and I would just simply stand there and watch the train go by. What the hell does that mean??

So while it might be focusing on something that made me happy, just for a little while, I'm way happier nowadays, so I don't understand what it's trying to tell me. Interesting! Thanks for sharing! 1. the frequency is quite high so i wouldnt underestimate it you should really look into what your brain is trying to work through. 2. whats really interesting is thar you are listening to imaginary music. You say this was a bad time in your life and you are better off now. Was it reates to a breakup? If so, are you in a new relationship now? maybe your brain is trying to let you know thar you should seek new music (and also that u can be happy even if you face some of the same things u did in the past, but this time with a new partner. 3. The fact you are using a technology that you consciously have no desire to use would suggest its trying to show you yoi should not be cutting yourself from something, that you once had in your life. This could be love or work or any kind of reationship thats important to you. 4. So what happened two years ago in your life? Have you lost contacr with someone, broken up, lost a job. found ajob, found a partner... It for sure is somehow the trigger to is. Discover the trigger -= discover the msg in the dream/ Seriouslt reoccurance this frequent for This Long is reflecting some type of unresolved issue or a feeling. It may nor be neccesarillt bad, could have been something good but generally of importance, but maybe U r mot aware of how important this thing is/could be in your life.

I miss ABBA and disco and new wave and commercials that were cute and funny and simple and I miss 70s tv cop shows and a time when boys did not wear their pants around knees and girls didn't refer to each other as "bro" and a time when there was no such thing as reality tv... Why would anybody watch television for "reality", anyway? There is something very sinister about that whole notion, "reality tv"...
