I think collectively, we're a pretty reasonable group here in comparison to the original IMDB. With that said, what worked for you in Rogue One and what didn't work for you in the movie?

Cringed at the number of times characters mention the force...Disney turning it into magic to use as a Deus Ex Machina...Also the unnecessary inclusion of R2, 3PO and Leia. Other than that, 10000x better than TFA.

They did a good job of blending aspects from the prequel and original trilogies while still bringing some new elements to the franchise. Bringing back Genevieve O'Reilly from the PT to play Mon Mothma was smart. As was the inclusion of Jimmy Smits.
I didn't like how choppy it was at the beginning of the movie. Forest Whitaker didn't work for me.

I'm still watching it. The effects are first-rate. Nothing else works. Not the characters. Not the story. Not the direction. Not the music. Nothing else in this film works.

The first half of the film Not enough back story to the major characters. I wanted to see Saw raise Jyn in flashbacks.
The scenes with Saw Garrera- too brupt. He needed more screen time
Last half was pretty flawless. Vader slaughter scene was the best star wars scene of all time.

I have to agree with the other poster, he didn't fit well in the story. It had something to do with the actor's acting... the same goes for Riz Ahmed's character. Both just pulled me out of the movie.

Both just pulled me out of the movie. Well he was supposed to be a call back from the clone wars cartoon thats pretty popular. I didnt say I liked him, I just felt Forest Whitaker was being far too underused for 5 min of screen time. He shows up and then I don't know a thing about him. If they are going to show these people on screen and kill them off before the end credits, we needed more back stories to all of them. Id like to see a Cassian Andor prequel showing his time as an spy/enforcer for the alliance before the scarif mission

I liked the name "Cassian Andor," even though he was the least likeable character in the film.

I liked the name "Cassian Andor," even though he was the least likeable character in the film. Greatest SW name. I thought he was likable. What was wrong with him? I liked the fact they made him into a rebel CIA agent who has killed. This is an aspect of the alliance we never see- Rebel agents doing anything to complete their missions.

Characters had little to no development. The first two thirds of the film were pretty boring and I found myself dozing off a couple of times. However by the time the third act came along I wasn't able to doze off, not because I was captivated by the film but because it was far too loud to sleep through. In regards to Tarkin and Leia, Tarkin didn't actually bother me that much. It was definitely at least a little distracting but it didn't completely take me out of the film (although I honestly wasn't "into" the film at all). I think the visual effects were great and as good as they could have been. However Leia completely took me out of the film and my mouth actually dropped as I let out a groan. She looked like she was straight out of a video game.

Lack of well developed characters. Yeah, everyone was kind of two-thirds of the way there.

Like others have said, all the jumping around at the beginning was a little much but I guess it was necessary. One thing that did stand out for me (and I know I will be crucified for this) was during the Vader scene at the end. When he would raise his hand and make a fist it looked a little silly to me. I know why he did it it but it looked like he was shaking his fist at people. I kept thinking it was something Anakin would have done in the prequels. I could see him getting frustrated and angry with Ben and shaking his fist behind his back! But I did enjoy it more than The Force Awakens.

The only things that worked in Rogue One were those two scenes with Vader. The rest is flat, uninteresting and boring.

Worked.
Vader, Leia , Green & Gold leader , U-Wing , Blue Leader, Raddus , Krennic Shuttle , Death Troopers , JS & GO'R returning , the battle , Two Tubes , good cgi , Îmwe, K2, Baze , Bhodi , Scarif , Juggernaut Transport , Reaper & Striker , AT-ST,Probe Droid,Mouse Droid & DS-1 Droid cameos , AT-ACT , Baze & Chirrut's weapons , Hammerhead Ship, The Profundity.
Didn't.
Tarkin (should of bin a hologram), Andor, Jyn , Lyra , Saw , 2 much world hopping , clunky Imperial Tank , The overly Arrogant Rebel Officer who wants Galen dead (bad actor) , 2 death by grenades, obvious World War 2 helmets , Droid Duo cameo at wrong time , no Hologram message of the Emperor , no new Imperial Ships , Bor Gullet looks but not his use.
Dats all 4 now.
