Not young Catherine Martin who, after some time, goes on offense- as in being proactive- and takes Buffalo Bill's dog hostage? I think the gender confusion of the guy would raise some backlash as it did back then. Yes Catherine martin, uh yea. The movie shows the female character as weak because she meets the serial killer and she's scared of him and later is intimidated by him. And then I think at some point she goes into some prison with men and she is scared. So the movie seems to have a theme in it that women are typically scared of men.
And you also have a scene where the woman is abducted by going in the one guy's van, so that's another scene that shows women as being weaker.
The problem is you can't have any movie now where a female is intimidated by any males, because that's gender inequality. That's just how they see things now I guess.
They have certain standards in movies now that they didn't have when silence of the lambs came out, just face it. This movie would be considered too anti-woman if made today.
Haven't I told you to stop trolling? It's not nice.

I think this movie is way too offensive or at least it has things in it that they would deem unsuitable for today's audiences. You agree? I have never seen the movie or the series but I hear a lot about both. I'm staying home tonight so i think I'll put the movie on my to-do list.

Ya I'm not too sure of that anymore. I'm actually glad that you showed me an example that disproves my point.
