I think this movie is way too offensive or at least it has things in it that they would deem unsuitable for today's audiences. You agree?

What's offensive to the snowflakes of today? Sorry, let me clarify I don't think it's necessarily too offensive to be made, I just think there are things in it that Hollywood would incorrectly deem too offensive.

The blatantly false assertion of the movie's events being based on a true story aside, there's not much of any issues I have with Fargo.

Hardly. The cast is 99% white and most of them are either criminal scumbags or complete idiots;hell the nonwhite characters that have the most prominence aren't that good either. It's a farce unveiling the diabolical urges barely concealed under the guise of folksy Midwestern quaintness. Hardly controversial.

I disagree, it's not 'controversial' but it has one specific theme or whatever you want to call it that could not be in any current movie. And it's not even about race, which is why i'm not sure why you brought that up in the first place.

It could totally be made. I do not agree because of one thing in the movie.

No not nothing, there is definitely something. There is a definite reason why Fargo could not be made today. Well portraying the one Asian character in the movie as kind of a mentally unstable stalker might not fly today.

Die Hard 3 could not be made today.
There is so many things wrong with it.
The opening in Harlem. The German bad guy and his men are kind of likable (its the Hungarian guy and his people who are the psychos). The "have I oppressed you? Have I oppressed your people?" line. The white guy blows up the helicopter himself. Not to mention it makes fun of Hillary's bossiness and makes a joke out of the impossibility that Trump would ever marry someone black.
In 1995 it was a Liberal movie-now it is way too conservative.

Question, can anyone guess what the one thing is in Fargo that would not allow it to be made today? Yeah. The outcry from wood chipper makers that it is not being used what it is intended for.

Even Forrest Gump has things in it that they would consider way too offensive to be made now, basically for the exact same reason that Fargo couldn't be made.
And that movie was pg 13 if I am not mistaken.

How about Fargo Gump? He could be the sheriff. His campaign slogan, Run Fargo, Run! Asking all around to everybody he meets during his investigation, "Never mind the murder. Have you seen Jenny? I gotta find Jenny." At the end he concludes, "Life is like a kidnapping set up by your close one. You just never know what you're gonna get."
